The last sentence of the first story’s author’s note was really funny - “this was really trashy.” And the second story was cute, too. I’m glad that there’s more stuff from Mimoto.

Pretty cool concept... basing a story off of the classic art pieces. I chalk this up as another writer/artist exercise.

Here's a recommendation for an easy one. "Le Lit" and "The Kiss" by Toulouse Lautrec. It's two women in bed and kissing, doesn't get more Yuri than that.

Check out p13 with the painting explanation? Presumably this is intentional to copy the "problems" of the painting this is based on.

That pose on the pic 9 looks like she is spooning with another person whose leg is visible only. And the hair on pic 13 is strange (like a part of a head of other woman).
Maybe it was censored in 1814, what painting was showing, really (two naked women spooning)...That's my shot.

If I'm right, the truth is hidden behind the layers of colors.

Update:
I checked the painter, and he obviously does not have any issues about anatomy in his other work, so I guess there's really something fishy about "Grande Odalisque", and it could have been modified from the original idea.

I thought the pair in the credits page, who were looking at The Weeping Woman were Mei and Yuzu. But then their uniforms' the same as the two girls looking at Mona Lisa (at least, Mei-look-alike and the dark-haired girl are wearing the same blue cardigan) so idk anymore XD
