It's funny. This manga does currently feel like it's sliding from "comfort" to "anxiety" somewhat, but why is that?
Perhaps the prolonged nature of this current bit of drama is what makes it lose its impact within the format it's presented in? Did the early parts of the story make us expect a certain rate of forward momentum, or "punchlines" if you will, and lacking that now with things more stretched out gives the whole thing a stagnant feel in comparison? Or is this all purely vibes and not how the story has actually progressed so far? I have certainly not gone back and checked!
In the end it might be as simple as this: the drama before they got together gave us anticipation, but the drama after they got together makes us anxious. It's not that the content changed, but the context did.
