Maybe it was axed? It seemed like there was gonna be some drama involved with her club friend's one sided crush... Besides, the story seems like it was rushed to an ending

There are a few extra chapters in the volume release. Also, I think this was always planned as a single-volume story.

I can see where some readers might find the ending unsatisfying, but I like Hakamada Mera’s tendency to throw slight curveballs—the stories aren’t wildly unexpected, but not quite by-the-numbers, either.

So much satisfying interaction. So cute. So nice. So much walking in on your crush having sex with her girlfriend. So much uhaul ending.

I like Mera-San's work. The Last Uniform was a really good series I though though I am upset that the 3rd Volume was not sold in English. I wish more of this author's stuff would be offered in English, but maybe its just an acquired taste and publishers don't think they would sell well.
But this is a cute story.
