I think Hakamada is severely underrated. She is from two generations back - the Morinaga Milk generation. And the two are friends and have gone out and done various things together. I think they went to a hot springs inn, for instance. I love that stuff, like when Morishima Akiko went out with three other yuri mangaka. I always thought it was an outrage I couldn't buy an English edition of the ending volume of "The Last Uniform." I was like, "REALLY, Seven Seas? REALLY??" who does that? Yes, I did laboriously read it in Japanese and then turned to dynasty, so it didn't put me out per se, but it's the principle of the thing.
