I want to shake hands with whoever set up this store shelf: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dw1cd4FUcAAEE_o.jpg
And I’d also like to do the same for whoever did this one:

Because it proves that everyone in Japan is shipping these two loveable lunkheads.
I'm probably just being thick but I don't understand what on that page you're referring to...
Kuyoki goes on a field trip to Tokyo, which we understand from all the previous comments in the story might as well be on a different continent, if not indeed in a different dimension, from their rural school district. While on that field trip, she visits what appears to be an aquarium (as of course she would). In that aquarium’s gift shop Koyuki decides to buy some souvenirs. Not only on the shelves but featured as the “Staff’s Picks,” what does she find?
Plushies of a frog and a salamander, the two amphibious creatures which have come to symbolize the relationship between Koyuki and Konatsu.
A mere coincidence? Perhaps.
She then walks out of the shop and immediately encounters a girl wearing the uniform of Konatsu’s old school, who proceeds to give her a spontaneous and unsolicited curbside (wholesome) sexiness makeover.
Another coincidence, some might say. Perhaps.
Plushies of frogs are quite common, and plushies of salamanders do exist, and where they are sold they probably must be featured items from time to time. Simply because an extravagantly generous and outgoing schoolgirl stranger happens to be from the same school as Kuyoki’s crush doesn’t necessarily mean that the entire universe is conspiring to get Kuyoki to acknowledge her own feelings.
Perhaps.
