I'm not sure if you're thinking that Mirai mentioned the technicality but just in case: Kako is the one who said that. Mirai isn't concerned with anyone other than Kako so she acts like its all a cute joke.

This is a gag manga, it's always been silly.

Silly isn't the same as stupid, or devoid of logic. And if it's a gag manga then it's also supposed to be funny. Like maybe Future-Herself turning up with a laughably bad disguise might've been funny. Or it actually turning out to be just a coincidence (expectations subverted!). Or her Future-Self could be crazy different. Or there could have been a dozen Future-Selfs all turning up at this very moment because they just happen to all travel back to the same time. Or something. Certainly you can make more out of this than "everyone's a moron".

What a weird take. "gag" manga doesn't mean it has to be absurd levels of comedy. This manga in particular hasn't been off-the-wall comedy. This is pretty normal for the tone we've been reading so far. Somewhere half between serious and kind of insane.

Also I'm curious the reason they actually parted ways because Mirai doesn't seem to know herself? Or doesn't realize the reason why they split? Like she's acting totally normal around Kako's future self and if they did split what the hell happened?

I'm not sure Mirai actually is the person future Kako is in love with. Wasn't the whole reason why Mirai went to the past that she wanted to meet the person who's genetic material she had her daughter with? So her and future Kako never met before.

Correct, her and future Kako never met. Future Kako should have had her own future Mirai after living through these events in the present though. Time travel be wonky, and wibbly wobbly.

I probably still just have CPK brainrot but Kisa flirting with Mirai to make her past self jealous (and also because she just misses her own wife) reminds me of what Yachiyo did to Iroha and Kaguya lol

Also Kisa being the romantic rival that makes Kako take her relationship with Mirai more seriously would be fun. I’m looking forward to seeing how things develop from here.

I don't see any real big problem. assuming each return to the past create a new separate timeline (which is the easiest to avoid all the paradoxes) :
Timeline 1 : kako live by herself, dont know mirai, is a genius scientist. Mirai use kako genes to create nozomi and go back to the past to marry her.
Timeline 2 : kako and mirai marry and live together. a one point they split. "kissa" return to the past because she became immortal
Timeline 3 : (current) "kissa" warn kako about the immortality. she decide not to do it and live together with mirai happily ever after.
