I get what the chapter is trying to do, but that was a bit too stupid to actually work.

This is a gag manga, it's always been silly. I'm pretty sure the author knows everyone knows who this is and assumed we'd chuckle and move on. Now time for time for more time shenanigans. I'm assuming future self wants past self to correct some mistakes.

I'm not sure if you're thinking that Mirai mentioned the technicality but just in case: Kako is the one who said that. Mirai isn't concerned with anyone other than Kako so she acts like its all a cute joke.

This is a gag manga, it's always been silly.

Silly isn't the same as stupid, or devoid of logic. And if it's a gag manga then it's also supposed to be funny. Like maybe Future-Herself turning up with a laughably bad disguise might've been funny. Or it actually turning out to be just a coincidence (expectations subverted!). Or her Future-Self could be crazy different. Or there could have been a dozen Future-Selfs all turning up at this very moment because they just happen to all travel back to the same time. Or something. Certainly you can make more out of this than "everyone's a moron".
