I'm glad Misa knows the correct solution to that problem.
More needy Misa is cute, also how Misa didn't suspect Io at all and was only afraid Io would try to isolate herself from Misa to protect Misa. That's something I predicted as a possibility in the past.
In terms of the hidden face / mask theme, which we saw predominantly with Io and Waka, we are really getting Misa's finally. She was complaining to herself about that last chapter. This suggests some of her earlier internal monologues were bluster due to her fearing getting attached to someone.
Her denial levels by saying she might never love Io are off the chart when she is obsessing about Io constantly. Maybe this scare is enough for her to admit to herself what's going on.
I also thought Io might talk to the reporters to tell the true story, but it makes sense she ran. Her whole sense of self worth is tied up in acting. I think we might get to the point that she values being herself more than acting and will risk destroying her career to do that, but she still hasn't reached that level of self worth yet. Given she's supposed to be extremely talented, it's possible she can get a new manager and keep acting as long as she can deal with her evil mom somehow.
