It's quite amazing how quickly Konatsu realised that her sempai was troubled because she thought Konatsu already had a d̶a̶t̶e̶ platonic friend for the festival

Man this manga warms my heart with every new chapter.

I would have liked more to have the Yuri tag from the beginning and then be disillusioned at the end if it's not a Yuri one, than have the subtext tag all along and suffering cause no matter how gay it is I already know it's not gonna be yuri... Like, it's as if god told you the moment you're born that you're not gonna succeed in life and have an horrible death, how can I keep trying if I know all my efforts are gonna be in vain? Yeah I'm a drama queen

That happened to me once with a gf I had, the only reason why I knew what the heck was going on with me is because I had read enough manga to understand it, but yeah, I can testify your brain ceasing to think straight and finding the person literally shine a lot.
And I am fairly intellgent as Koyuki... but she doesnt know what is going on because she doesnt read yuri :p

That could be it, but then again, he could just be glad his socially awkward daughter has a friend, and also understands that his daughter is, well, socially awkward. He was also over the top happy when he first found out Koyuki's club would get a new member, without knowing almost anything about Amano back then. Even without the whole blatant gayness, it is obvious Honami does not make friends easily, and for that matter I do not think she even has any beyond Amano. Gay or no gay, of course he would be supportive.
