I'm reading the novel cause I'm impatient, not super far in 16 out of 115 or so chapters, here's my spoilered impression, no plot spoilers: Omg they're both sooooooo toxic. I'm enjoying it, but damn, this is some crazy shit. Neither is doing any explicitly bad things, but their attitudes are some of the absolute worst I've read.

It's ironic that their entire drama / issue right now could easily be solved if Kanata wasn't a giant coward.
Like if she would have just told Yui she not only didn't like that guy, that the only reason she pushed her away in the first place was because she knew she had just been with another woman well then that basically would have not put these two together but at least put them in the right direction? But I guess we're going to get a Aquarian date out of the drama got to have that Yuri staple right
Ok So, Kanata called her disgusting not because she kissed her right after vomiting, or because a woman kissed her but it was because she could smell another woman on her. Got it
So I just read the entire novel yesterday. It's way longer than I had expected, I goes all they way into their adult life after university. Hard to imagine the manga will go that far.
