what a first chapter wow the atmosphere sucked me in, i will say im a bit afraid that senpais intentions aren't all that pure and things will get toxic but thats not necessarily a bad thing

clicked on this chapter and then saw who the author was, i don't think i'll be making it through this one fsjdkfd

yeah the translation is entirely AI unfort which really sucks bc the series is super enjoyable i wish it had gotten a legitimate translation

what a lovely series, sugar handled the axe so well like the ending felt really natural, hope it gets a translation soon I'd definitely buy it

Mixer doesn't have to have alcohol. I think Girl Friends had mixers in high school. Alternately, underage drinking does happen.

new chapter !!!! I hope ibu like, actually confesses soon (i totally thought that was coming this chapter when she made note of umi's favourite chocolate tbh), like girl will be rejected immediately and get v v sad but at least she can move on she's been pining for months atp

After 5 episodes I have to say anime version of Kamiina Botan is incredibly good, shockingly so even. Episode 5 is bit like Shaft-styled, in a really good way. So far it's been splendid. That's even despite deliberately potatofied style of episode 3, because voice actors do great job as well.

It's well worth a watch even if you don't like the manga.

I personally loved the art direction for episode 3, each episode has been uniquely good for their own reasons imo

Yeah and I can't wait until we get to Botan and Ibuki's "let's not be friends anymore" dating start. It looks like that'll definitely happen this season.

i feel like the season will end at the end of vol 4 (assuming it gets 12-13 episodes (im p sure thats a standard ep count i dont watch much anime)), but they'll have to cut a few chapters for it to work due to ep 10s plan to deviate from the manga entirely and focus on an anime original akane and yaeka story which im v excited for. and holy shit i would love it if this was the one to break the one season yuri curse please god let it be this one

While reading that bit on the last page of the chapter, I wondered did the author really reference all those Hollywood movies, or did the translator just replace Japanese movies movies with English ones to make it more relatable to western readers.

this series has a lot of references to western media, akane shows off her collection of english vinyl records in chap 8 for example

seven seas just recently announced a chinese GL publication branch but at the same time its seven seas and their yuri track record for the past two years or so has been kind of garbage but its definitely 10x more possible now

this was such a sweet (hehe) series. v happy they got to have their happy ending, but honestly the fact that lili came back immediately and there wasn't really any downsides makes me wonder why chapter 19 happened at all. like i get that she lost her devil powers and all that but they really didnt play a huge role in the story outside of the first couple of chapters in the first place. either way i really enjoyed this one and I hope the author does more yuri in the future

god this one was so sweet, definitely one of the best series' of the past year. Shame it was so short but v enjoyable nonetheless
