I'm more bugged by how the arm touch is drawn on page 4. Straight bar with fingers coming out.

As someone who doesnt like to be touched, no matter who it is, it can be a bit uncomfortable. I dont mean in the sense that "ew," more in the ways of "my skin doesnt feel mine anymore." Many reasons as to why, majority of them being trauma. Whether it's PTSD or Autism (cause the two are not the same but can be vulnerable). I'll be surprised if she doesn't hyper-focus on her skin and clenches her fist or something further along or at least rub her arm to assert dominance in her own skin.

I'm not sure I get this chapter. Assuming there is anything to get in the first place.

Main thing I think is that her...friend(?) wasn't happy about her arm being touched like how Aya probably touches her girlfriend's arm when it comes to scary movies

I'm assuming friend. Shu-chan was the one with Narita and Aya, hanging out at the bar during the "Four Forms of Aya" chapter, two chapters ago. She's the one who also witnessed Mitsuki picking up drunk Aya; she had a reaction then too. Her, Aya and Narita seem like the new trio and this setup of these last few chapters looks intentional and connected.

Make your bets:
- Shu doesn't like physical contact
- Shu likes Aya and knows it's pointless
- Shu likes Narita and is annoyed Aya is always around him
- Shu is homophobic

Shu likes Aya and doesn't know she and Koga are together.

Just based on her vibes from 144 and 147 for now, she strikes me as the resident "stand-offish grumpy cat" who doesn't much like people, getting close to them or getting involved in things. the kind who just finds most things bothersome.

So i guess her disliking physical contact fits the best with that

I think she knows since she was the one who was with Mitsuki and Aya two chapters ago. She at least wondered about their situation. Also, it doesn't seem like Aya or Narita is keeping secrets but maybe.

Shu reacted with confusion when she glimpsed them being intimate. The literal next chapter establishes just how shy Aya can get. Shu doesn't know.

Yeah she might not but I imagine she's at least wondering about their closeness after the bar meeting. We'll see either way. I like the discussion she sparks. It's nice for the series to have some new stuff to potentially chew on.

I can go with that, especially as she didn't really want to join in in the first place.

It seems like she's okay when it's easy going and not too loud but gets pushed out of her comfort zone when Aya gets boisterous and too lively, especially as Narita just goes along with it all.

She reminds me a little of Ibu from A Blue Star

Shu seemed okay with Narita's arm around her shoulders. https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/the_guy_she_was_interested_in_wasnt_a_guy_at_all_ch144#2
Well she looks put off but I think at Aya's loudness.

I'd be surprised if the story goes with Shu-chan not liking physical touch rather than the obvious she likes Aya route.

I agree, mainly because I don't know how not liking physical touch would tie into Mitsuki and Aya. That seems like a simpler and personal problem to solve that wouldn't need much development or teasing. Who knows though.

In the bar chapter they were touched/hung on by Narita and their object of annoyance was still Aya.

Edit: I should read more of the comments before posting. Heh.

It looked to me like Shu-chan was Narita's college friend first. With the bar chapter being Narita introducing Shu to Aya, telling the story of how Narita and Aya met in high school, and how Aya is when she drinks. So this might just be a case of Shu still getting to know Aya and being uncomfortable with her general Aya-ness. Their energies are totally different.

Also whenever people are constantly talking about someone you don't know like Narita and Aya do with Koga it can feel excluding. I think if Koga hung out with them too vibes would be better, but she isn't a fellow student obv.

Then how do we explain the look Shu gives Aya as she confidently talks about wanting to hang out with Shu and Arita, or also the framing of Aya in that panel? That all had a romantic vibe to it that I can't shake. The touch afterwards makes that seem even more romance-coded to me.

To me that was more like being momentarily pulled in by Aya's charms once they were turned directly onto her, but she snapped out and resisted in the end. Aya is in a devil costume after all.

We are used to Koga's effect on people being framed like that, including in just the last chapter, but Aya seems to have a natural pull too now that she's this comfortable in her own skin. I don't think it has to be romantic. Just a hunch, but I think Shu has something going on with her that makes being around a free spirit feel conflicting.

I legit thought Shu was a masc-presenting egg until I saw the boobs on a reread (trying to figure out what's actually going through their mind).
