Not to go all “skeleton xylophone” on this, but the bar can’t actually be in the same spot as the CD shop - here, the bar clearly is on the basement level, you have to go down a flight of stairs to get to it. But you can see in all other chapters that the record store was right off the street with a big picture window next to it.

I have no idea why a simple Alice Cooper prop scared him so much. Wasn't even made any spookier for Halloween...

Well, the place could have gone through a complete redesign and renovation. If the staff were all in the basement, then who is upstairs monitoring the ground floor and what for?

It doesn't say it's in the same place though. It says that in the shopping street the cd shop stood, there's now a music bar.

The phrasing is a bit ambiguous,but for me, it means that the cd shop closed and in that street, a music bar opened.
