Why are people so irritated by this prank? To me this attitude comes across as a bit rude to the scanlators. It's not as though they are obligated to deliver us free translated chapters. Plus, this chapter might as well not have been uploaded today in the first place, it's not like there is a fixed release schedule, as far as I'm aware. And even if there was, it's just one day's delay, for a completely free service.

I thought this was funny tbh, but it's not that big a deal regardless. I did fall for it for a moment and then went, oh April fool's day, and that was it. I can just log in again tomorrow or in a couple of days and read the chapter then. There sure are some essays here about not being "REALLY that mad".

We are actually annoyed, but it's not actually because of the comic, for the most part. Some of us are even aware of that.

I do appreciate the translators, who are the only reason I know about this story.

You should also be aware that some people have had their credulousness taken advantage of or used to mock them, leading to negative emotional associations with this type of joke. This ended up being the thread some people vented about that- or at least I think that's what's going on. If we consider the likely demographics of this type of website, I assume some others have had that experience at least as much as me.

Well, sure, I did consider this to be the case, most likely. But I still think it's rude to vent your general April fool's frustrations to the scanlators.

You are probably right. I'm hoping they took it at as general April fool's venting delivered unto the void from people who are looking forward to their update, but I posted that partly in case they hadn't. We are lucky we don't have the type of scanalators who get into arguments with readers when they complain, anyway.

Yeah I don't mean to be rude to the translation team myself. It's why I'm not saying anything along the lines of insults directed at them, I'm completely aware that we get the series translated for free because of their efforts, and I greatly appreciate their efforts. I simply find April Fools pranks like this mildly annoying, but as I said before it's not the end of the world. My annoyance was mostly furthered by people saying that anyone who doesn't enjoy this type of joke is no fun and a killjoy basically.

Ultimately I'm not mad, it was very mild annoyance and so I explained why I feel the way I do. Plus I've even been saying that if people enjoy this type of joke that's good, it's just not my kind of humor. I'd imagine the translators are prepared for some people not finding humor in this type of April Fools joke, and people discussing it that have different opinions. I do hope though that what I said wasn't rude to them, and I apologize if I was rude at all. Again I only wanted to express how I felt about it, and I don't wish to attack anyone over it.

You know i was wondering why the yuri tag didn’t turn into “Just Gal Pals” like it does annually for April Fools. I’m glad this scanlator has the pranking humor lol.

lol. I don’t know why but even though I read the initial page noting the change in alphabet, I was like this is the alphabet. I know the alphabet…. (o^▽^o)

I even understand why some people without a sense of humor hates April Fools' Day so much (just like me), but saying harsh words against a manga translation team doesn't make sense. It's as if, for them, that day was the new Groundhog Day. They are always born like this, grumpy and pessimistic about the world.

At least I'm trying to be tolerant about it.

Well as I said before I hope I wasn't rude to them, and I apologize again if I said anything that was out of line. I expressed what I thought was mild frustration with the day and getting pranked, along with further responses defending the ability to express that frustration within a reasonable limit. I genuinely don't have any ill feelings towards the translation team, and I greatly appreciate their work. If anything I'd hope the people committing the prank would laugh about any frustration, because they genuinely got a bunch of us. At the end of the day I laugh at my self for falling for it, and for getting frustrated at all over something so minor. This is something where I'd love to move forward from this, and I'd hug the translation team if I could.

Huuuh that's certainly intriguing~ Curious how finding a lover is supposed to be related to being a "villainess"

I think it's maybe a mistranslation since in the title it's "femme fatale". It's French meaning a lady killer/a heartbreaker, and it's more logical with her task test.

I see.
Then it makes perfect sense why her task is to find a lover.

I think that "You can't do that with anyone but me" is exactly why they passed... Just neither of them have realized it just yet.

Thanks for the translation! Fun to see this series again. Also they're talking about her needing to find a lover as the other girl is straddling her on a bed, I mean. They're so close to realizing the direction their relationship seems to be progressing in lol

Also I hope the girl in the bath isn't dead >.>

it seems like the role femme fatale was ascribed to her because her desire for friendships imagines her having an intimate emotional relationship with every girl in the school. I wonder if future assignments will be force her to get other lovers besides her current sister-wife-girlfriend....

This chapter definitely had some gwitch vibes

At the risk of pulling on a string not meant to be taken too seriously, but how did the school know about them "passing" their tests together late at night essentially in private? That has some worrying implications.

the least creepy explanation i can think of is that staff saw the food and drinks that was left out for them was eaten properly and made note of it in the morning.

Though even then the food being left out is at least somewhat concerning, because it means the staff knew they would be eating together. I guess it's supposed to be thought of as the staff believing in their ability to come together, but the issue there is that this whole school set up feels like the students are an experiment...

There are a lot of disturbing implications if you think about this series too hard. I advise you to join me in not doing that.

Yeah I'm going to enjoy the girls being cute together, and I'm aiming to not think super hard about the concerning implications throughout the story lmao

I can actually see a reasonable explanation for the food being left out; Both of them missed dinner and the school has a responsibility that their students eat so they probably keep tabs on if everyone shows up for the meals, so they left their food out assuming/hoping they would eventually come back and find them. The fact that they're placed together isn't necessarily an expectation that they will "eat together" so much as... well, it's the cafeteria. They probably just put the meals for the students who missed them in the same spot because why not?

As for who keeps tabs on it, I think after some consideration that the answer is the same as for who might've "spied" on them eating it to confirm they passed their tests; the dorm manager. The cafeteria is technically a spot she could plausibly be checking on in general even after hours.

Still, if I was them, I'd absolutely be getting creeped out after finding out the school somehow knows what they did together at night in private. They didn't see a single soul around them, and that close to the deadline is one heck of a coincidence for someone to just happen to be around to pass them without being noticed unless they were already spying on them to begin with.

This is like a really cute version of a Fallout vault, or the mansion in Darling in the Franxx..

Which while creepy does make the concept even more interesting for me, at least.

Thanks for the upload!

My theory is that the school just put passed on everyone, and spread the rummer of expelling so that the student actually trying to do their assignments. As you can see if they had spied on them no way Kotori can passed since see never ask or confirm Nagisa's feeling.

The way the letter arriving is described, I can not rule out the school being magically informed of a student completing their assignment. That, or by ninjas. :P

Eyy its back and I am caught up (last I read was chapter 3). I liked how this assignment and now that the Tsun is done the Dere is here and I like that what her assignment was not hidden for multiple chapters. Will be looking forward to when the Prince goes after the MC and what their girl's reactions will be lol.
