Since it keeps on being published, it means it works well with the Japanese public.

Those types do tend to do well enough across the globe; although, I'm not sure how well this one does. Still very by the numbers and predictable but it's not been offensive and is an easy relaxed read. It makes sense (fortunately or unfortunately, depending on who you ask).

Y'know I was boutta be happy that they're finally dating, then I was boutta be mad because the "rival" ain't giving up, but then I remembered that while this manga is very trope-y, it tends to speedrun and at times subvert said tropes, so at least I can rest easy knowing the triangle arc probably isn't gonna last long.

I know this series' whole thing is basically going with typical yuri and romance tropes, and cranking them up to 11, but could we not have maybe waited a chapter before introducing the absurd love rival? I feel like it completely spoiled what could (and should) have been a really moving confession.

Well, it's the last chapter of this volume; so, taken cynically, I guess they felt the need to slide in this next trope/dramatic turn leading into volume 4. Volume 4 will likely involve this girl regularly interjecting into their established relationship but playing as a joke--because trying to get in between a couple is cute and funny. I agree that this rush undermined the confession, no room to breathe really.

I liked it, I feel like almost no other manga would try to go for something like that, this is the edge that separates it from the rest (although I get how this can just come off as nonsense to someone :P) Reminder that the person who convinced Shun to confess wanted to throw her of the stairs in earlier chapters lmao
