This seems to be Yukihara Shizuki's first work, or at least their first yuri. This was Beautiful, I'm looking forward to seeing more from them! :)

Also, I think the reason Akari hasn't been able to get close to many people is that she is quite intense, isn't she? It takes a certain mindset to be comfortable with intense folks like her, and Kanae just happened to have it. Akari had lucked out with that -- but reaching out to and being there for Kanae when she was hurting was all their own effort. The two of them have earned their happiness.

Oh man I was so happy when I saw it kept continuing after part 1. Loved how one shot was told and I really hope there's a sequel someday! Their life together just started after all~

Weirdly enough, this reminds me quite a bit of Adachi and Shimamura, had they taken a completely different route after high school. Having to bury a large part of yourself and live a life that doesn't really suit you to conform to the ''norms'' really sucks doesn't it (^^) Makes me really grateful that I was able to be myself and do the things I wanted to do for most of my adult life, not everybody is so lucky.

I like the choice on page 01 to have the English title almost blend into the background. Much like her feelings that she had buried for so long, which made it such that she didn't have to see them as much, they were always still there.

Took them quite a long road, and there are still a couple of steps left to go, but they've finally found their way together now. Very nice. ^_^

This does a really good job at crafting characters with a more subtle type of compatibility. Those personalities just feel like they fit so well together.

It shouldn't be a one-shot, should it? I don't speak Japanese but As far as I know, the series isn't over. It's just that the author draws rarely. I follow them since 2022 on pixiv, and the periods between each chapter are months, that's also why there is a slight change in the art style. The author just likes to take their time, I suppose.

Anyway, if it ended indeed, then I might cry lol. I just love the author's work so much that I can't believe I will enjoy it English now! I'm tired and want to sleep but it's impossible now haha.
I was waiting when the first chapter will be translated ever since someone added the manga on mangadex, then boom all the chapters are done. Can't thanks everyone worked on it enough ಥ⁠‿⁠ಥ

Edit: Just noticed that there is a "1" on the cover. thank god. Btw the cover was illustrated after all the chapters released, so the number belongs to the whole book not to the first chapter >< <3

the het tag should 100% be here lol, they both had husbands for YEARS, one died and she “just” divorced herself, for how long tho? ugh i just hate chapters like this, stabs my gay heart to hard, and ofc i actually can’t relate at all to the idea it’s presented here lol, tho i do have to deal with society pressure in another way that what the characters have to deal with in this story, so i guess i’m lucky? tho only in one aspect T^T

i’m actually starting to understand way some yuri fans blow when the manga suddenly adds men in stories >.> oh no that’s not good
