I just finished the whole novel and it's so good I've been crying non-stop for two days. I love the insights the author gave to both Jing Xiu and Youyan in the novel. Usually in these types of stories I've read before, one person goes too far and it makes me dislike them. Here, I totally get both sides and where they're coming from.
I have a feeling I know what an upcoming "twist" will be, and if I'm correct it makes these scenes all the better.
This is an incredibly honest scene from Jing Xiu. She acknowledges the positive change that Ji Youyan has attempted to do, but still says that this alone isn't enough to fix everything between them.
