This is cute, it's funny how relatively open minded and honest the gyaru is when the honor student is pulling her into a serious dramatic plot structure. They're such an odd couple it's closer to "characters from two different genres of queer fiction" rather than "characters from two different cliques at school".
Also the girl eating the tomato on page 16 is so funny, eating that tomato turned her into a muppet or something

My largest objection to this story, as usual, is that these kinds of things never happen to me.

We've had a couple of flashbacks to Sumie's initial crush that will of course be a source of conflict, but I seriously doubt there will be much drama. From what we've seen, it was just a normal, unrequited crush that pretty much everyone has experienced at some time.
You start liking someone > sometimes it doesn't work out > you move on and then find someone else. Nothing out of the ordinary but Sumie will have to figure out that's just how love works.

Unless the manga decides to make an abrupt shift in its tone and make Sumie's relationship with that girl much more sketchy. Like she was an adult tutoring her when she was studying for HS exams and took advantage of her. I hope it doesn't go in that type of direction and seriously doubt it will.

Manatsu is great, yeah. Maybe the secret ingredient we needed all along was tits.

Manatsu is a giant puppy and I like her a lot. First two chapters of this have been pretty enjoyable

The premise is by no means innovative. And personally I like Delinquent x Honor Student more. But still, cute and fun.

I relate more to the grumpy one, but we need happy positive people in our lives to raise our spirits.

You can't go wrong with fake dating, it either turns into a real relationship or strengthens the bond between the two, especially when they're a black cat and golden retriever pairing. :)

I'd also like to say this series has been really good so far, with a realistic portrayal of the relationship between Manatsu and Sumie. Manatsu faces genuine struggles with her sexuality. While she expresses interest in romance, as seen in Chapter 1, page 4 when she says, 'I wanna fall in love toooo!', she doesn’t seem attracted when shown a 'hottie' of a boy later on that same page. This leads her to wonder if she might be asexual, especially since she mentions that the idea of having a boyfriend 'Just feels kinda off.' However, she also considers the possibility of being a lesbian when sumie offers the idea of dating for a week to help her explore her attraction to the same sex. It’s common for people who are unsure of their sexuality to identify as asexual for a time before coming to a realization. Of course, I’m not trying to generalize its not my intention and I hope this doesn't offend anyone :), this is just based on the experiences shared by others on Reddit and people close to me. :D

I kind of love how she went from "I've never been excited by girls either" to "isn't one week too short" over the course of less than a day.

lol, I love this. Also, it's not often we get a yuri manga explicitly addressing sexuality as a thing, and someone coming out, so this is great. I loved this chapter, fellas I think this one might be great

This chapter had just the right mix of comedy and plot : ) Their fake dating lasts only 7 days, but Amazaki Suika has a way of making the days feel like a month. Because of this, it doesn’t feel rushed (even though it’s only 7 days :P )
