There it is. One of my favorite confession scenes in any yuri series. The line about Gon is one of my favorites from the LN, and I’m so glad to have that as a manga page now.

What they're saying is that while it might build up slowly, for many, the realization feels sudden. People aren't always accessing their feelings that closely. Plus love is hard to define a lot of the time.

Vol 6 is the visit to the grandparents and Gon, the festival, the confession, and ends with this manga chapter.
According to the author Vol8 is the canon ending. So everything after that is omake.

Looking forward to what happens next, Shimamura hasn't realized she's in love just yet. I'm curious about what is gonna happen to Tarumi and what is the deal behind Yashiro.

That dog sure does have a big influence on Shimamura. Before the dog arc I like Adachi considerably more than Shimamura but now I like them both about equally.

I feel like I know the answer, but I really fucking hope it's all fluff from now on. Adachi deserves it.
