I never thought of Adachi's jealousy to be a problem, since Shimamura's detachment issue seemed much more serious. But now that the doge has changed Shimamura, I now see Adachi is also full of problems.

Normal social skills and she has the patience of a saint. Most people would have at least considered bouncing after "the phone call," honestly. This outburst pales in comparison to that. Adachi has room to grow but she found a GF perfectly willing to be there through all the bumps. I've said it before but Shima's issues didn't affect her life that much. She had plenty friends and people who crushed on her. She could have moved through a typical life. Adachi on the other hand wasn't in the best position. Their relationship works because they fit each other so well and it's lovely watching those puzzle pieces snuggle into each other--still, Adachi really lucked out here. Snapping because your friend went out with their friend and then because your GF had one conversation with her friends, would be a killer.

Without spoiling any of the later LN stuff, Adachi does get a bit better at dealing with her insecure/jealous tendencies as she matures. She stays quite possessive of Shimamura, but she learns to relax a bit, which for Adachi is already quite the challenge :P The girl was pretty much born without a chill button installed.
