It's interesting. The chapter mostly seems to imply the kohai will want to serve as a manager or producer for Mitsuki, but then the blush at the end makes me think she might also have a genuine crush. I'm honestly not sure how Mitsuki would take an offer of something more contractual. Her vibe and anxiety seem like she might not take that well, but maybe with her Uncle's and Aya's encouragement she might go for it? Or maybe it will end up irrelevant as Mitsuki can't focus on that while Aya is upset.
She released an official album under a band name clearly about her and Aya filled with songs written to Aya. For a manga where music is the love language they use, advancing in tandem, that seems like very significant progress for them.
From the few glimpses we got, seems like the new girl might be from a pretty well off family. Maybe her dad is a big shot producer? That would explain her looking for talents, potentially wanting to strike out on her own. Real curious to see where sensei is taking us with that !
so the young freckle one's name is Hime-chan. and she's from a well off family that is apart of the industry. looks like she has found her shining star at school and on bandcamp.
I wouldn't be surprised if Agu name Song 1 as an ode to Song 2 by Blur. lol

Looks like Koga managed to put an entire album together!
As a little aside, there is:
Song 1 - Fugazi
Song 2 - Blur
Song 3 - Stone Sour
Song 4 - Babymetal (technically it was Black Babymetal i.e., Moa & Yui only)

Don't know if there's a Song 5, 6, etc.
oh wow! I didn't know about this. thnx for the info.
Ch. 101 drops tomorrow, so I think I still have some time to celebrate the release of our 100th chapter! Here's to many more!
Man, to think I started reading this in my 1st year of high school and now I'm a senior... This may not exactly be what people mean when they say "I grew up with this manga" (I mean, just look at One Piece fans), but it kinda feels like it to me.
Look up Aa,Megami-sama by Koske Fujishima at how long that ran. I was still in high school when it started and I had finished military service and was working a job when it had finished. Even that wasn't setting any records.
Lol, I just need them to address the sexual tension. Like, Mitsuki is writing songs about Aya... Aya is jealous... I need their internal monologue, like, aren't they thinking that maybe this isn't platonic? XD

and that album cover too even!!! it was just recently their fingers touched through the window like that.......when aya sees this i hope she recognizes all the little details....
I wonder if there's any irl Japanese musicians publishing on Bandcamp. Also looking at the details of this chapter, it's kind of strange with that house and that family photo that Hime goes to the same probably relatively low class public school as Mitsuki and Aya. I wonder if maybe her family had a fall from grace that she's trying to redeem or something.

A decent number. Really wish it were more; Bandcamp makes it so much easier to get things than stupid booth et al.
Any recommendations? I only tend to find Japanese artists on spotify or youtube
Esprit D'Air - Japanese band, based in UK with a French name.
Kind of symphonic metal with mainly Japanese lyrics, though did a great cover of Iron Maiden's The Trooper.

Kinda depends on what you're into. For example, I just discovered recently that carrotwine still exists! https://carrotwine.bandcamp.com/music Mr. ARA himself, just putting up a wide gamut of bangers.
https://bravewave.bandcamp.com/music Releasing old game soundtracks. (Though REALLY annoyingly they often don't have a standalone digital release for some stupid reason...)
I haven't even looked for Japanese artists specifically in most cases, and some of these I just stumbled into from YT recs or following tags, but they were easy as pie to pick up because BC is dead simple and doesn't tend to Just Stop Selling Things (like is my experience with Amazon, for example).
Chizuru has shown to be fairly direct and not mess around, so I suspect a metaphorical slap 'round the head for Aya is incoming pretty soon, along with being told to stop messing around and go get her girl, lol.
