It's really nice to see another historical yuri here, I'm liking it because its focus is on girl's dreams and ambitions too, and it's nice to see girls supporting each other :) and the art syle is so cuteeeee.
(Also, I'm so angry at Ayano's mother)

The art is really pretty, it goes really well with the era and atmosphere. The characters and story do feel a bit cliche for me, but it's been handled very well so far.

This is interesting. It almost got unbearable in the depressing overbearing tone but then Ayano stood up to her mom and that really made the series feel intriguing. I liked her story about seeing her mom happy for once looking at nice clothes, too. She's a protagonist with promise :)

The plot for this feels like it's moving along quickly. It'll be interesting to see where it goes once Ayano finds out Tsubaki is a prostitute. Ayano has no income for now so there's no way she could buy Tsubaki out. The most obvious answer is Ayano will make money through clothing sales but that'll require a good amount of time to pass.

I considered this but if that was something Tomoe was actually concerned about then she would simply tell Ayano instead of/in addition to running all this indirect interference.

Judging by Ayano and her other classmates' ignorance, high-class school girls like them aren't supposed to know that prostitution exists at all. The fact that Tomoe does implies she may have had a negative and potentially embarrassing experience, which she doesn't want to share -- as she would have to in order to explain to the other girls a) what Tsubaki's job is and b) how she knows all of that.

Interesting theory. There's not really anything about Tomoe's reaction that points to this previous experience but it's still possible.

She might just be sensing something feels "off" or "strange" about Tsubaki but can't put her finger on it so that's why she's not saying anything to Ayano.

I'm definitely quite liking this manga. The writing can be a bit on-the-nose at times, but the characters are all flawed yet realistic and the art is great. I particularly appreciate the complex feelings Tsubaki has toward Ayano, and how her initial viewpoint of Ayano being a naive spoiled rich girl has been changing throughout the series.

Chapters 1, 4 and 5 have been updated with corrections

like with shim-cheong and a bunch of historical manga, i could actively feel the calm before the storm. historical yuri loves hitting that one turning point hard. not something i feel often

somehow missed this until now, it was very enjoyable! excited but also worried to see where it's going

Really love this manga. Hope more is coming. It's a great premise, interesting setting and GREAT execution of the dynamics between innocent, rich, princess flustered by poor ruthless prostitute won over by her golden heart. And her knightly best friend :)
