Why would marital talents be hidden in her case, though? She is pretty upfront about her entire life revolving around this marriage. Martial ability, on the other hand, would be quite unexpected...

Yeah that's true. I was just wondering since it'd be completely out of left field and it's an easy typo to make. If she really ends up being some kinda surprise martial arts master that would be pretty funny xD

There are two types of characters you should never underestimate. One is the old person in a profession where one statistically dies young. The other is the seemingly oblivious and sweet person that has survived being surrounded by scheming manipulators.

So she's being frugal while still providing for the servants. (Instead of, as I expect the kitten killer would opt for, starving the help. Because she's blatantly evil.)

My, Qi Nian being disappointed that Yu Dingdang didn't undress her and find out is such a good mix of funny and cute. Those two dorks can help being gentle and perceptive around each other. And huh, it kinda looks very much like someone trying to make their coming out too.
