I just love happy endings especially if it's yuri happy ending.

Sorry I did not mean it like that. I do understand why it was done in this story and it is most likely the best outcome for the two to grow up and old together. It is more a general dislike of this story trope because it is so often used. Seems to be a general theme in fiction that immortality only brings sadness and misery.

Ok im actually curious cause from my perception its the opposite. I cant really think of a single yuri manga about immortality that ends with the characters losing their immortality and getting to live together normally. Could u send some cuz id find that interesting. And yea generally i share the view of immortality being something horrifying (in fact it was a thought that terrorised me for a year of a few in my childhood and i still think that there is nothing even remotely as terrifying) so i dont really like endings that maintain the immortality.

I was not talking specifically about yuri but fiction in general. Especially in romantic stories immortality usually shown as something bad because you lose your family and loved ones (which happens in a mortal life anyway but that is rarely addressed).

Actually, I think it was very like them to end it like that. To have Aria have a little struggle. Usually it's Ichika that starts the kisses and tells her she loves her etc. I think thay by making it Aria's choice to continue their relationship it was true to the author's intentions. I'm not a big fan of Amnesia. But I'm glad it was just a couple of pages and for a chapter than it was over a course of a series.

Now that you mentioned it, it makes sense. I guess the only issue is that that chapter was too short.

that ending sort of snuck up on me lol. the climax was pretty drawn out and slow so i would've expected the end to be similarly drawn out, but i guess not. great ending tho, definitely a good way to close things out

Well, that sure was an ending. Can't say I liked it that much since it felt a bit rushed, but it was better than the alternative.

Higashiyama should consider working together with a good script writer, or maybe follow a course on creative writing.

A passable conclusion. Sad to see this story end.

Lots of great moments, some weird tangents that shifted the story tone a bit too much and a lackluster engins. Still love the art, the characters and the humour. Will read again.

Ahhhhh another series has ended with a great ending so I'm fully satisfied. Although it wouldn't hurt to add more of the blissful ending.

Frankly I was hoping for a Shakespearean tragedy ending... but I guess this is fine if you think of the story as a horror comedy, all the dark backstories notwithstanding.

I guess you can't fault Higashiyama Show too much for the slightly sloppy ending since it's his first serious attempt at a series. Yeah there's the manga Prism but he must have not been too serious about it since he stole a lot of panels and stuff from other artists to the point where he had to cancel it. This manga shows that he's done better than a lot of other hentai artists deciding to transition into normal manga. Also it's got 9 volumes and anytime I see a yuri with more than 3 volumes I get pretty psyched and gotta check it out. It's probably the best vampire yuri out there (maybe?)

the thing was, he had an idea but hadn't completely thought out what the ending would've been, so that's why for a bit of the series it just like things came out of no-where.

that being said, i don't think this was a memory loss fakeout... it seems to me that Ichika recovered her memories much like a fairytale kiss. which is cheesy but i'll take the happy ending gratefully. after stretch, i'll take any happy yuri ending at this point from shou lmao

Hopefully there's still a short 10 to 15 page epilogue chapter at the end of the 9th volume. If the version on here doesn't end up having something like that, maybe the official english one will. I just like it when they do those since it gives a tiny bit more closure over what happened with the characters

Happy ending YESSS!!! I'm gonna miss this manga with it's drama and shenanigans!! Aria also became cute when she turned human? Well, she was always cute but her as a human gave her this cute delicacy to me lol. Thanks, what a great ride!!

What a great ending! I'll miss this story for sure, but I think it was a good time to end it.

I've never read this before and decided to just read it all in one go since I saw the [end] tag... and that sure was a ride, enjoyed it very much. Didn't really feel to me that the ending was rushed, I thought it was a perfectly good one (but again, maybe I'm not the best person to say since I did read everything at once :P).

The story overall felt pretty complete to me, and made sense for the most part with some twist and turns here and there... but if I had to complain, I think the thing that jumps out to me the most is Al-Kamil. Eiher I completely missed some sort of explanation, or she basically just became evil for no reason, no explanations or motives are given. One day she just decided it would be fun to kill people lmao

I think this is a small typo on last chapter page 21 second panel:
should'nt -> shouldn't

Actually how Al-kamil thinks is pretty simple. She has her (mother-sister) loves her to "death" (Aria raised her to be her sister). The entire town adored her because they looked to her as if she was everyone's little daughter. She was absolutely spoiled rotten. When she was thirsty instead of following the rules, she went ahead and kill, thinking that EVEN if it were not OK, they will let her out; and if it does not, then Aria will let her out. Yes, a definition pf "spoiled child". Also, she might not even think about the possibility of being executed by the treasure sword because she might have never seen it herself, which to her can mean it is just an ordinary antique sword. She changed her mind pretty quickly when Shin read her the death sentence and indeed a treasure sword holder coming after her...it was not a joke or something that she could have gotten out of.
It is not easy for others to handle it. But if you think about it, Aria is Al-Kamil's parent, and Shin was Aria's parent, so executing her actually would created trauma.
So do not spoil your children. Bring her to see a psychiatrist if you caught her drinking blood... :)
