An intriguing first chapter. Yamada's "cute genki girl" personality actually being an act genuinely surprised me and gives a unique flair to the character. Aoi is more standard but she plays off Yamada well, and Yodokawa's art is top-tier as always. Definitely going to follow this one.

I'm absolutely loving their designs and seeing more of Yodokawa's art, this was also a fun start to their dynamic. Thanks for the translation!

it's tagged as GL on dex at least, and most of Yadokawa's works are yuri so i'm not worried. and "girl meets girl" feels like a romance tag word to me as well, dunno if that's a common interpretation of that though

I'd guess it isn't Yuri yet but with the way this story is set up eventual Yuri seems very likely

I like Aoi and I don't mind Yamada (so far), so I can't wait for more of this.

I really liked small little Yamada.. Or maybe she wasn't super small Aoi is just a giant @_@. This series looks as if it's going to be quite enjoyable seeing Yamada help Aoi get out of her shell and "study" her.

I really like Yadokawa. Maitsuki, Niwatsuki, Ooyatsuki is one of my favorite ongoings so more from them is always great in my book.

That makes two only with this one actually.

"Tiger & Hummingbird" is complete at 4 volumes since a while.

So, a single monthly series + a quarterly series should be sustainable.

There are a lot of manga that seem to deal with personas and the expectations people have for you vs who you truly are, I kinda have a feeling that this will be like the play arc of yagakimi but a whole manga lol

Also with all the problems she mentioned, this is actually not the worst scenario, what usually comes with natural beauty is also jealousy, assumptions, lots of that and creeps (yanderes, stalkers, perverts) hopefully we won't get those here but it wouldn't surprise me.
