And I honestly can't, for the life of me, understand how is that they can't meet regularly. I get that they are at pretty prestigious unis, but I doubt their classes take more than 30-40 hours/week. There is pleeeeenty of time to arrange for stuff, yet they act like they can't see each other for weeks at the time.

That only works if they were just taking regular classes at regular colleges. These are both specialist colleges which Kase HAS to dedicate a lot of time to and Yamada WANTS to dedicate a lot of time too. They've already covered some of the other aspects that make meeting up on the regular tricky (commute times, curfews, etc.) It's part of the reason why Kase wants to move in with Yamada once she becomes a 2nd year and doesn't have to stay in the dorms anymore.

While I do feel like Kase's jealous cycle has gotten stale, it's largely due to the fact that there's usually some danger Yamada winds up in that ultimately proves Kase was right. This time around, Kase's jealousy was 100% unfounded and the fact she just twatted a TV celebrity who's the star of a public event right in the face means she's gonna have to deal with the consequences of her hero act (either in the form of a telling off from Yamada or the yuri equivalent of that bit in the film The Tuxedo where Jackie Chan accidentally knocks out James Brown and has to perform in his place). Next chapter should be intriguing.

That's not assault. That's a bag.

"If you were a guy, I might wanna date you too"

Excuse you, Kase Tomoka? Care to explain yourself here?

Hey, when you're putting up a het pretense it's not always easy keeping the pronouns straight.

Lol, I love these adorable dorks so much.

Lmao at that bag throw. That’s one way to the the stress out of your system... him pulling up in a car like that was kinda sketchy tho. But Yamada definitely thinks that he’s a rival

To be fair, things would've been even more awkward had she said "If I were a guy, I might wanna date you too."

I know they did, but it still doesn't make sense to me. I've known people in medical unis, which are notorious for being by far the most intensive you can get into, and even they have some free time, as long as they didn't fall behind at any point. I don't think I had more than 30 hours once during my MSc.

If they can't meet at least once a week for a few hours, they are doing the relationship wrong. I guess that's part of the greater lack of communication issue they are having since they obviously need more time together to alleviate their insecurities, whoever is having some any given week.

Well, I guess it kinda makes sense from a couple of kids who aren't even 20 yet out in the world for the first time. Just sad that every chapter makes me sigh instead of smiling.

New meme!

From now on, every time an incredibly cool and dashing lady just like a Takarazuka prince works her charm (inadvertently or not) on a girl and makes her feel like she's burning in a fire of love and passion, I'm gonna say:

"Oh wow, she made her fever go up!!!"

^ Lol, if we're talking about burning fires, the only thing besides Kase that can set Yamada's heart on fire is gardening!

Of course, this being Yamada, the raging flames in her heart are actually made of thousands of tiny two-leaved plants.

I mean she is hiding the fact that she a lesbian (although she could be bisexual).

I thought she was exclusively Yamadasexual.

A "plantpersonsexual", perhaps?

I'm so done with this supposed love triangle or double triangle or whatever you call it.

Also umm Kase she goes to a horticultural college. Everyone is giving everyone flowers all the time. I'm starting to think Kase is still stuck somewhat in the HS mind set while Yamada is maybe moving out of it more. Plus you can't do stuff that you could get away in HS now you're a adult in college like hitting people with a ball or say throwing a bag in someone's face. That end up getting you arrested now. It ain't teachers sending you to detention or coach making you run extra laps anymore.

Though the guy seriously is sketchy and I was half expecting the tricking her to get in his car trope.

She probably just broke his nose or gave him a couple black eyes. I'm assuming this will set up for Yui to have take his place on tv but damn it be something if if the author said fuck it and Kase got in legal trouble. It probably be bye bye to her scholarship.

Yeah, I'm gonna say that was uncalled for for Kase to immediately jump to attacking the Prince; there are lots of innocent explanations of why this might be happening besides "Yamada is cheating on you" ranging from "this guy is overdramatically confessing to Yamada and she hasn't turned him down yet" to "Hey, can you hold this bouquet for me while I get something out of my pocket?"
Even in the case that he's asking her out on a date, that's not a valid reason to literally attack him for it; he very likely doesn't know she's taken.

Given the context, he's probably making her responsible for it in some way. Either caring for it or putting it somewhere, or modifying the arrangement.

Even in the case that he's asking her out on a date, that's not a valid reason to literally attack him for it; he very likely doesn't know she's taken.

Even if he knew, it still wouldn't be a justification for assault. Yamada's a grown woman, she gets to make her own decisions, and Kase's jealousy has just been getting uglier as time goes on. At this point, I'm kinda starting to want them to break up. At the very least, Kase needs a serious chewing out and some real self-reflection.

Eh, she's a runner. Her bag probably has some sneakers and a change of clothes. I wouldn't want to get hit in the face by it, but I doubt she's caused him any serious injury.

Doesn't make it acceptable, but still.

Yeah. This is the first case where Kase's behavior is clearly harmful and unjustified. I think it's reasonable that Kase never had to change her behavior before because it wasn't truly wrong, but here at least Yamada has a risk of negative consequences because someone who has potentially a lot of power in shaping her career, well, just got hit with a bag and even if it's not strictly Yamada's fault, it's someone she knows who did it.

This absolutely feels different from the other times this has happened in the series and I really hope further chapters commit to this. Looking forward to them.

Annoying and repetitive, but that's just how this story goes outside the fluff. They'll be back to finger-blasting one another within 5 chapters.

While Kase's reaction to the scene with the Prince giving Yamada a huge amount of flowers was a bit over the top, the fact that Yamada had not been responding to Kase's messages on Line all day, especially right near when Kase showed up when she was leaving campus and heading to her apartment or her work and wasn't busy working with flowers, is a problem. And it's not the first time, since the previous episode featured Kase showing up on campus without Yamada knowing she was coming because she hadn't been paying attention to her messages all day because her phone was in her locker.

You can say all you want about Kase's jealousy being unfounded, but Yamada discounting Kase's fears and jealousy and not taking her concerns seriously is just as big of a problem. Yes, it is rooted in Yamada's inherent lack of self-esteem. She doesn't see how anyone, Kase included, could be interested in her. But that doesn't help Kase feel that she isn't a sitting duck for a predator who might try to hurt her.

And why exactly is this TV personality giving these flowers to Yamada in the first place? And worse yet, why is he calling her Yui-chan? Isn't that a bit familiar?

I disagree. Yamada was busy taking classes and also getting ready for this event her school is prepping with the Prince and the other dude. It's clearly a huge event and Yamada is super busy. If Kaze wasn't so freaking oblivious to anything but her own needs, she would have noticed this and wouldn't be sending Yamada messages when she's busy. She only got herself to blame for all this.

In fact, you can see how inconsiderate of others she is when she starts asking her sick roommate for relationship advise. Kaze is totally self-absorbed. It's all about her and her needs. And she's the same in her relationship with Yamada.

And why exactly is this TV personality giving these flowers to Yamada in the first place?

It's most likely related to the event they're setting up. Nothing strange about it.
