I can't help wonder if they have a sex life with each other. We know Sakurako has a sex drive but it has always been questionable about Kasumi.

If you read yukiko’s oneshot “Tomorrow When I Wake Up”, it indirectly implies that they did have a sexual relationship and possibly continue to have.
I think it’s decently important because as Hinako says, the label of ‘platonic relationship’ doesn’t quite fit them.

Given how complete Futaribeya is as a story and how insistently yukiko has repeated saku’s desire not to be bound by labels, I’m inclined to believe that that’s the intention: that Sakurako (Kasumi doesn’t seem to really care) doesn’t believe the words ‘dating’ or ‘girlfriends’ fits them.

But PERSONALLY I am desperately headcanoning that this is Sakurako trying to convince herself that she’s happy with how things are. I am going to read too deeply into it but I want to believe that the reason she has this little monologue about change on tap is because it’s what she tells herself. I would love to think that the reason yukiko includes Hinako mentioning how scary the chance of losing the relationship is, is because that’s what Sakurako is most afraid of.

None of those characters were frustrated in this chapter. They were very chill and understanding but had reasonable questions. They were thoughtful, like the rest of the cast.

Completely missing the point. Even in story other cast is asking why they aren't girlfriends a couple whatever you want to define it.

People also seem to forget Sakurako straight out asked Kasumi about being a couple with her. She kind of ended up taking what she could get with this whole relationship not relationship thing.

How does the sis look the same even though around ten years has gone by since first introduced?

At this point the author just likes messing with the readers. There is no other explanation.

Reminds me of a old SP fanfic where the two are a couple as adults and go to Shizuma's family home. The long time housekeeper who was like a mother figure to Shizuma in the story goes into Shizuma's room to find Nagaisa tied to the bed and Shizuma is in the shower.

i love this page so much. i get a lot of long time readers are most anticipating akebi and erica, and it's warranted, but this couple are equally sweet! i really enjoy seeing guitar girls growth because basketball girl keeps pushing her. mind you she started with absolutely no knowledge of guitar and lied to look cool... it just doesn't help that updates have months in between them but this is life.

Have to remember that Akebi's source material is sporadic with releases where there might be months between chapter releases. Also now that the author started a new series it might get worst.

I don't know what triggered old Maria fics to get translations but I'm loving it. Now if could only get the novel's licensed Need people going to J- novel forums and commenting and upvoting the request post. .

It is great seeing more Marimite doujins after all this time. Hope it leads to more arthors stories for it and Panic being done. The fanfic scene has all but dried up on ff.net and Panic isn't really doing any better.

If only J-novel would of licensed Marimite instead of Earl and Fairy that they chose to go with.

No remake huh?

Funny thing, The anime almost completely rewrites the novel story. For instance these to run together and not the blue haired girl. Also there are a lot more people competing and it has various events. Even a rescue event on horseback.

I'm a big fan of Marmite and SP along with fan works. Saying that this was just bad. Looked like it was made in MSpaint and the story was nothing.

Next year, this doujin will be 20 years old...

A fellow Mamiko Noto fan I see :) She was a large reason why Shimako was my favorite Marimite character back then.That soft throaty voice was just to die for..

While nowadays she's mostly voicing evil MILFs. What an upgrade!

MariMite is, in general, one of those things I have a lot of love for but also frustration toward...

The reason why I hate most Class S stuff. All the "yuri" shown in them is always meant to be a play relationship that will end as soon as they leave school and find a man. Sei is pretty much the only one that actively rebels against it and is unapologetically gay. Everyone else either quietly accepts it or throws a bit of a fuss but then gives up immediately (Yumi).

Supposedly the spin off at Yuki's school is more physically gay as Kashiwagi actually kissed Yuki at one point. Also Kashiwagi was actually imagining Yuki is a Lillian uniform while waiting at the gate only for Yumi to show up and leave him very confused. This is second hand information mind you.

Personally the way Marimite ended felt like the author was just tired of writing it and had been set for things between Yumi and Sachiko and Noriko and Shimako to progress. It was made pretty clear Yumi's orientation from describing Sachiko when describing her ideal partner to watching her undress before realizing what she was doing.

It kills me j-novel almost licensed the novels but instead went with earl and fairy saying modern yuri fans might not like Maria's type of yuri and that it is mostly already done from fan translations(it's not) and the anime covered most it (It doesn't.).

I don’t blame them, the novel has 37 volumes, for a manga it’s not a problem, but for a novel it's a terrifying number to bet on
