There is a college woman making out with a half naked elementary schooler, for pete's sake. Feathers are going to get ruffled. Maybe they're a victim of child molestation, maybe they have children in that age, they feel protective about, or maybe they're like me, who are okay with it, but think that's not okay.(Not this story though. Not really. This one was more disturbing than their other works. In their latest works, the relationship was more chaste. It was pure and soft. Most of the time, the adult didn't want to go intimate with the loli for x reasons, but in this one they're making out and that's kind of gross...

Pretty sure they don't unless an adult literally exposes them to it. And if they do understand, most likely than not, they're reaction is 'eww gross'. Kids have more than enough attention that they wouldn't need a lover. The only reason people get lovers is to distract themselves from the stressors of adulting; teenagers because of hormones. At least, that's what I think.

Even a slow bloomer like me was thinking about such things at that age, most kids I knew were already talking about sex-related things even earlier. And this in the 80's in an Estonia that was still under Soviet occupation and where there certainly was nothing like the rather easy access to such materials we have now.

Have to say, there is a pretty big difference between soft loli where the affection originates from the kid and the adult just kind of goes along with it (and is uncomfortable with actually sexual actions) and this. This is just straight up pedo and it’s gross. I was uncomfortable with it when we found out the affection originated from the adult and that the adult initiated the “lovers” part on an unassuming child, but as soon as the whole “picking your lover’s first bra” and talking about how a freaking 9 or 10 year old was sexually attractive, it was an instant close the window. This isn’t yuri. This is just straight up pedo and it absolutely makes sense that it’s being banned in various countries.

Now, I’m not going to say it should be taken down from here, though I’m definitely making a mental note to hard avoid Itou Hachi going forward. But all y’all trying to make the argument that people who don’t like this type of thing don’t like yuri need to be taking a hard look at yourself. You’re literally saying it’s okay for an adult to not only feel sexual attraction to a literal child that hasn’t even begun to enter puberty but also act on it and then insisting that it should be not only included but also accepted by people who only want sexual attraction and action between adult lesbians and/or bisexual women. While early 2000's elementary kids around my place already had access to porn, in all kinds of media like CDs, .3gp videos, or old Nokia's MMS messages.
And we're in a developing country where porn is prohibited by law.

Reading about something is not "literally saying you're okay" with whatever behavior is depicted in the fiction. (That's not really what the original poster was saying, I know, which is why I'm not using an auto-quote.)

People have been reading with pleasure about things they would find abhorrent in real life and other people have been giving them shit about it literally before widespread literacy even existed (see Plato, The Republic).

johnb suggests that there's something necessary and cathartic for some people about coming into a forum and decrying fictional behavior as if it's real.

I don't quite get it myself, but as every Itou Hachi thread demonstrates, it happens so often it must be true.
