I'm really enjoying this - the twist that Maekawa seems to be faking her airheaded-ness is intriguing.

I think I found a typo, though. On Chapter 2, the male coworker is called Kidoguchi on page 4 and page 10. However, on page 5, page 14, and page 15 he's Midoguchi.

All of this was HEAVILY foreshadowed. I only hope naive mangaka doesn't get too upset. Obviously, ex-mangaka is very troubled. But still - mangaka x mangaka for me is literally the bestof all genres.

The good stuff continues with a cliffhanger. The only twist, I can think of, that can top this is ex-mangaka works for “Men In Black”.

edit: I just browsed on the author's pixiv and apparently theres already chapter nine, and one page shows maekawa and shizumu san presumably living together owo? Or at least whatever circumstance led them to wake up on the same bed

Ohhhh, that's who she was. The name was presented so boldly that it felt important, but I honestly didn't remember anything, so it just felt like something that would be expanded upon later.

I think it's more like Shimizu is still able to find joy and passion in her work and interests vs Maekawa has probably already become jaded by her career as a mangaka. So she probably envies Shimizu.
