Holy crap, never would have expected the same author to be behind Room for Two.

I guess this is why Sakurako have a very small tinge of sadistic side lol. Not into S&M but interesting work indeed! I like versatile authors. :)

Not really my taste and a bit cringy to me but somehow, very romantic.

@Ringaround

Looks like Yukiko got fed up with the "can't make A Room For Two actual yuri" thing and snapped harder than Iori's finger.

Incidentally, there is a non-canon A Room For Two chapter in the same anthology. There is a (non-romantic) kiss.

Also, I'm impressed so many others liked this story. I was expecting the thread to blow up with people being outraged and taking it too seriously. :p

What I've learned from this is that people are outraged by cute, fluffy stories, but enjoy messed up stories like this.

You sick fucks....

It's not cliché, that's for sure!

This is kinda like a relationship between two M.
One who loves being hurt physically while the other wants mental/emotional abuse

Just my thought tho.
Anyway, I need more of thissssss

My favorite no-yuri mangaka "Jin" that wrote extremely fluffy stories like A Friendly Orc's Daily Life has like at least 4 pages of doujins about cheating/prostitution based on Fate.
I found out this stuff only after loving all his cute stuff.

Nothing can scares me now.

I think what amazes me in this discussion is how many people can't reconcile that someone who creates fluff also creates something that's very not-fluff like this. It's reminiscent of how people can't seem to understand how the creator of Prism can make het loli porn, or think that Morinaga Milk making Mare somehow taints her other work. It's such a weird type-casting of the author, that they shouldn't be able to think up a variety of different sorts of stories.

I think Morishima Akiko put it best:

When an artist makes makes cute & happy stuff as well as Dark & gritty stuff. They gain more respect from me because it means they're experimenting. And experimenting is a glorious thing to do when making any kind of art. I means that the artist is willing to take risks. And its because of risk's that we strive and get further in life.

Iori is a sick person. She is sadist and masochist. In really bad way.

Lmao, thought this was going to be from the eyeball-eating author from the tags. Didn't see that coming.
Not my taste at all, but can't say it's bad, either.

Angelic Girl, chapter 2. But re-read the whole thing anyway because it's great.

I don't think Iori is a masochist, per say, because sure, she wants Kanan to hurt her, but I think her situation is more Borderline PD. Or, at least, that's what it strikes me as lol.

If I recall some of the main characteristics of Borderline are fear of abandonment and self-destructive behavior to get attention, and I'm pretty sure Iori has both of those.

Or maybe I totally missed something and it's because (like some other comments have said) of an abusive relationship in the past.

Either way, I like to feel smart with my knowledge from AP Psych so hopefully it's the former lololol

low..... loooow..... key into it. damn who woulda thunk that Yukiko could write something darker

edit: as another person said, seeing an author able to successfully write 2 vastly different genres just makes my respect for them grow stronger. jack of all trades, master of quite a few

Not to mention getting a deeper understanding of what can make people tick. I don't have any weird fetish myself (I don't think) but I love fetish stories for that reason, It gives you things to think about, there's always some deep, dark lesson to be learnt. Mainly that people are all damaged in one way or another and everyone deals with it and heals in his own way, be it sweet tender love or "please fuck me up" passion. And there's nothing wrong with that, as long as you don't break your lover's bones in real life... Also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeMFqkcPYcg

It reminds me of Needles and Oranges a bit. I think Iori is more messed up than either the guy or the girl in N&O though. Since the submissive girl is even unable to resist her orders when they involve real damage - broken bones - I think this is not a story that ends in a good place.
