I wish I had thought of that. In my head it was based on a joke I heard once about snooker refs who wear white gloves, and then the green for the reference to this manga. Michael Jackson is more thematically related for being music. I feel a fool!

Gottem; it’s slice of life, this happens in real life.

And, if our characters just always get what they want without challenges, it’d boring and nobody would read it. We love to hate how we feel reading this

People really think they are so shallow as to break up just after one big fight? It's frustrating to see, but nothing out of the ordinary.

I do agree with what some have been saying, though. The format does not fit well for that kind of conflict. It drags on for too long and don't allow for proper discuss/resolution as everything has to fit in 4 pages. I really wish she would drop the format and do 8 pages long chapter every two weeks instead, or half chapter every week, but I guess it wouldn't work as well for social media.

Just felt that it is worth mentioning that the bar has a corner set up for live music and there's a guitar (Mitsuki previously commented on how expensive looking it was) - got a feeling this is going to come into play here.

I think people can know that this is a drama series and still not be into the current arc for various reasons. While I’m still looking forward to future chapters I understand why this isn’t landing for everyone, and my own feelings are a bit mixed on the current progression.

Like ... it has been from the start, just because you don't like fighting arcs in stories, doesn't suddenly make it unfit for this format.

It's funny. This manga does currently feel like it's sliding from "comfort" to "anxiety" somewhat, but why is that?

Perhaps the prolonged nature of this current bit of drama is what makes it lose its impact within the format it's presented in? Did the early parts of the story make us expect a certain rate of forward momentum, or "punchlines" if you will, and lacking that now with things more stretched out gives the whole thing a stagnant feel in comparison? Or is this all purely vibes and not how the story has actually progressed so far? I have certainly not gone back and checked!

In the end it might be as simple as this: the drama before they got together gave us anticipation, but the drama after they got together makes us anxious. It's not that the content changed, but the context did.

Well on this note I believe this is our first major main couple fight since they became a couple? Which in my opinion this would feel better to read in a monthly 20 page chapter that digs into it and fleshes it out, while also giving us a solid chunk at a time. That I think would handle a fight like this better, but if you disagree and you think the current release schedule and format is good then hey that's good. Nothing wrong with having different opinions lol

That's it, I think. The early parts of the story were quite full of anxiety for the characters, but since readers knew it was a romance manga, I assume most readers took it (almost) for granted that the MCs would get together, however long it took to get there. Now it seems that some readers (me not among them) are worried that the MCs won't stay together.

My overall impression is that this story consistently raises issues (how will Aya react to finding out that the boy she's interested in is really a girl, will Mitsuki go to America with Kanna, etc.) and resolves them fairly quickly without much permanent damage. Apparently not everyone shares that impression.

I would have agreed some time ago but honestly? I think the format does work. It's just a little unorthodox, so the audience gets paranoid, with a double digit percentage of them rooting for the couple to break up at least temporarily. I love drama so for me the series is more interesting now than it has ever been since the first volume or so.
