Her whole personality is about being a sadist, seeing Magical Girls struggle and BDSM. Utena is more focus on the Magicals Girl that she is in Kiwi. Like someone said, Kiwi pretty much force herself on Utena any chance she get. And has all the things said about Kiwi, i mean duh she does all the things with Utena and Utena don't with Azul, they are on the same side, unlike Utena and Azul. Of course they gonna be more close. Not to mention that Baiser and Azul barely known each other in the civil before.

TBH I expect they'll eventually all team up against some bigger threat, and we'll end up with 4 battle-couples. As Leberblume and Loco demonstrated, two magias who can synergise their abilities in some way gain a power boost beyond the sum of their individual levels. And the three un-paired Enormeetas match nicely against Tres Magia, as the beach chapter showed:

• Baiser-Azul have their Dom/Sub dynamic
• Sulphur and Leopolt drive each other to new heights of competition
• Magenta gets on well with children, and could be an ideal big-sister figure for Alice.

But she isnt, her character is about, funnily enough, looking Up to magical girls. Her bdsm fixation is a mix of twisted admiration and her villainess form. And nowhere does Utena express any grievances with Kiwi, i honestly think some of you guys just dislike her so you want to see her showed of to the side. Utena and blue has nothing going on atm Other than blue being horny

And please, tell me that it isn't the same for Kiwi.She even try to get Utena in an hotel for Pete's sake. Kiwi is even more horny for Utena then Azul who is just an M.

TBH I don't think Utena actually knows what to do with Kiwi's very openly expressed crush. It's arguably an aspect of the gulf between her supervillain and civilian personas (and conversely the fact Dumplings simply doesn't compartementalize between the two); as Magia Baiser the BDSM Dark Magical Girl she'll gleefully and confidently go full hentai doujin on (almost) anybody anytime, but as Hiiragi Utena the awkward 14-year old girl she's completely at a loss how to cope with someone expressing romantic-sexual interest in her.

Bit of a glass cannon in other words - she can dish it out but not take it. :P
(The peculiarly familial relationship the two of them have with Korisu probably only confuses her further in this regard.)

It's possible that Kiwi (with rather uncharacteristic sensitivity) realizes this to some degree, too, as while she's not at all subtle about her raging homo lust for Utena she never really presses the issue. It's more like she's extending a permanent open invitation (and rather vocally at that) but is fine with waiting for an answer.

While I agree with you first statement about Utena's character, I think you've also been blinded by your own bias about Utena/Sayo relationship.

You said it yourself, Utena's character has always been about looking up the magical girls, all the while her love for them is also twisted by her own sadism. They are both such focal points of her characters that it's hard to imagine her having a relationship with anyone not tied to at least one of the two elements above. That's entirely why Sayo has been primed to be the heroine so far. On one hand, she is the 'ideal' magical girl, righteous, strong and beautiful, on the other hand, she is a masochist who actually embraces her kink (much like how Utena embraces her own), so out of all the characters, they are the most likely to have a 'stable' relationship based on SM.

Kiwi, while being a friend of Utena and always proclaims her love for her, doesn't actually share much in common with her. Utena is nice to her, the same way she is nice to Alice, and we can see for ourselves that she isn't really on Utena's mind . Unless the author sets up an entire arc focused on her and setting some conflict between her an Utena, I don't see them as likely (unless we're talking about a harem end). I've been skeptical about her chance, but after seeing the author trying to pair the spare last chapter, now I'm quite convinced.

Now, the weirdest thing is in a series about magical girls, people are actually thinking we will not be focusing on the magical girls.
