the last arc was very sweet. something something the wish fulfillment of not outright looking for acknowledgement, but having ur efforts acknowledged. thinking ur invisible but having been seen the whole time. coupled with the amount of time they spent thinking about the other in apparent secret. sweet.

i can understand why the author considers yamabe her kindest character: she knows all of her classmates well enuf to matchmake, frets over the feelings of whoever left the OG letter as well as mia, appears to be supporting a ton of ppl and has a strong sense of responsibility towards them. im a grown ass adult and im still thinking wow role model.

anyway always appreciate reading the translator notes and thoughts here; it's obvious that ur picking up stuff ur really into and that makes it more fun.

While she's hard on herself for not considering the feelings of the 1st sender like Haruyo did, Kasumi took the letter in the first place because she was worried about Yamabe. She's always too hard on herself.

And with the classic "start of a new volume recap" out of the way, we go all the way back to volume 1 with the long awaited return of the friend gang, the library, and the assistant librarian. Seemingly the first half of a new pairing; I remember her being an early suspect for Haruyo too. I always wondered, if the letters started with someone else, have they been intercepting and eavesdropping Kasumi and Haruyo's exchanges? Nobody's in a better position than a bored girl hanging around the library.a

Oh So she was the one that wrote the letter back!? Curious if they mention anything about the letters to her. Though maybe the whole sinking it's claws into you was supposed to be a hint about her knowing what they're doing?
