I wouldn't be so quick to count the husband out considering hes the one who was kissing blondie in high school. And blondie has been established through hearsay to have ruined her own marriage for cheating. I don't expect Ohsawa Yayoi to pull any punches here for a story labeled as bisexual and love triangle

Nowhere in the chapter it’s said to be him but I can see it happening. and that would make me angry because that mean husband and Hana are the same age, why can the guy have expression lines (or whatever he has and however they are called in English) while Hana doesn't?

This one is actually not new, it's already complete with 2 volumes. The author has another ongoing series now.

Thanks for sharing the info. I've look at the comments on Amazon, and I'm now sure this isn't for me.

The comedic timing of the last panel on this page is just impeccable.
This one will hurt in more ways than one. Laughter probably among them.

I can only hope it is a lavender marriage type situation but due to the bisexual tag I fear it is not..

Ough this is going to be a right mess so. Seems interesting even if Yayaoi work's been mixed for me; will see where it goes.

For clarity, the bisexual tag on dynasty scans does not strictly mean bisexual, it means that the story shows certain characters in relations with both men and women or that a character is bisexual in a narratively important way. It's there even if the story were to depict for instance a woman who realizes she's a lesbian while being married to a man.

You have to read that and several other tags not just as markers of identity but as content warnings for what will happen in the story. in this case bisexual can mean that the protagonist is bi, however it can also mean that this is a story about a woman who is in a relationship with a man and who will get in a relationship with a woman later down the line.

And I'll say, It makes bisexual a very confusing tag to see because it's applied to several distinctly different situations that are all just collapsed into one.

every so often i forget that men read yuri until good ol forum comments start getting raw around men getting cheated on by lesbians / bi women or having their relationships cease in favor of gay ones. Anyway im excited to see ohsawa yayois take on the terror and violence that marriage enforces upon queer women in small towns.

I don't know who exactly you are talking about, but I'm a woman. And I don't like cheating, regarding of the gender. What kind of comment is that, seriously? Do you implied being cheating on it less of an issue if your partner is gay/bi?

No, I think the assumption was that male yuri fans are more likely to be pressed about yuri that involves cheating because they may empathize more with the man who is being cheated on than the women who are having the affair with each other. Of course, this is incorrect! Empathizing with fictional characters to the extent that you forget that they're fictional, that the bad thing happening in the story is not actually happening to you, is obviously a co-ed hobby enjoyed by a vibrant and diverse community.

There are people of various genders who can find enjoyment in the misfortunes of a fictional male character and the immoral deeds of a fictional female character, but there are also people of various genders who can't. Fortunately this is a skill that anyone can learn, it's never too late!

The bisexual tag is a feature of this site, it's not applied by the author. It also doesn't necessarily describe sexual orientation as it's used on this site.

By the way, this work is not tagged or described as yuri on any of the official platforms I have checked (BookWalker, K-Manga, Kadokawa, CMOA, Pixiv, etc.). Ohsawa Yayoi is prolific in the yuri scene, and false negatives in this way are common, but I find that more portentous in this case than just the bisexual or love triange tags applied by this site's uploader.

Before the fire dies down, let's pour some gasoline: I genuinely feel sorry for the guy here. He sincerely cares for his wife, and seeing the person you love suddenly snap into such an obsessive, reclusive mindset is something I'd only wish upon my enemies, not random civilians whose only crime is heterosexuality.

For all we know so far Hikaru did just end up willing to risk her job and marriage over a rumour.

...which makes me think that chapter 2 will have to do quite some heavy characterization to not make her look like an immature, irrational idiot. What we know so far about her isn't enough to see why she would have such a reaction.

This is a yuri board, gay women can do no wrong and men are all scum and deserve less than nothing /s

unironically yes

I usually hate cheating manga, but i also know the feeling of having to try and conform to society and have dated guys tk try and fix myself ...it never worked and only made my feel worst and hurt people I did care about. So I think of manga like this as more lesbains having to conform to society then anything else .

Oof ... This is shaping up to be the kind of story where I can appreciate the telling of the story, but not were I can enjoy the story told. No right or wrong choices, just feels and regrets.

I know the response to this will be “heteronormative society” and all that but I really need a Reason why she married, for the moment it feels silly and I hope is not the “I feel forced to marry” because honestly, I feel like a lot of yuri’s rely too much on "lesbian had to marry a man" as the big conflict of a lesbian's life, when there are so many other angst options that can be used for drama.
Outside of that, the art is beautiful and Hana looks like a interesting character

but to clarify yeah the usual pattern i have seen is it is almost always male readers that get sore about the topic in yuri media specifically or else fifteen year olds who desire "unproblematic media". While i may be hyperbolic and overgeneralizing the cut of what I meant is I think its stupid to read a chapter that so clearly depicts a woman held hostage by the heterosexual politic and be like "hrrmm this woman might be a cheater, i dont like that". It belies a deference to heterosexuality and to men, which people who are not straight cis men really do not like to hear they have. Hence, putting on the proverbial silencer with generalizing it as "men".

At the second I saw the tags Adult life, Bisexual, Love triangle and Yuri. I already know where this is going and what kind of characters I will find... Pass.

Despite what a surprising number of queer people seem to think, bisexual people are real and do exist.

I don't want to be rude, but there isn't such a big reason for this that it requires social analysis, it's much simpler. people (any gender) hate NTR, to a weird extreme, much more sometimes than age-gap, rape, onee-loli and incest.

I used lesbian in the sense of "any woman attracted to another woman", queer women can be straight trans women, so I saw lesbian as more appropriate, not to deny anything, I don't understand what bisexuality has to do with my comment, since I'm implying that she didn't need to get married, because I feel like the plot just married her to create more conflict, if they were just dating they could easily break up.

Cute and clever trick by Hana trying to test whether or not Hikaru is happy with her marriage. I don't think it worked though. It seems like Hikaru is mostly just dependent on the stability of marriage and while she genuinely likes her husband, she doesn't love him much beyond that.
If Harutaka was a women I could see this being a story about abandoning a childhood obsession in favor of serene and stable love, but considering Ohsawa Yayoi is a yuri author...

No right or wrong choices, just feels and regrets.

Will probably be right on the money. I guess the right choice would have been to not marry a guy you'll never be attracted to, or more fully love, but that ship has already sailed, so by now she's screwed.
