This one is actually not new, it's already complete with 2 volumes. The author has another ongoing series now.

The rivals to lovers element is fun. Forget the straight girl you're fighting over and date each other instead, the best way to move on and find love in that situation haha

Not cope, that's the obvious twist. I called it out the first chapter, someone confirmed the wording was that he was going to a wedding but not specifically whose. Logic infers you don't take a cab to your own wedding by yourself to arrive late.

Hope it will be an awakening, not just some plot-devide and later we will see Kiki attends the wedding of the sister and this guy. Like, nothing against het relationship, but I really don't remember if the guy ever got mentioned before this arc, and suddenly he appeared, and seemingly got engaged with the sister (the rings, that looks like only Kiki has caught on). Not to mention, like previous comment said, the sister didn't think about him when she thought about love. Well of course if later chapters will expand on the sister's story, and they actually have been building their relationship probably then I don't mind. Just please not "he is a good guy, and we have been partners for long so I should say yes". There is also a slump in their dancing.

Yeah, but like, now that he has broken up with Eri and probably pissed off Fuyuki, I don't think there is any string left attaching him with the two (tbf, there shouldn't be any to begin with, if not for Fuyuki wanted to be friends). He would have no shame to show up normally after all that shit show. About the wedding, could just be an invitation for an old friend.

Well, nice male characters are just so rare in yuri. Usually they are wingmans though.

The story is about the 3 of them, so he'll be here no matter what. I think its fine to develop his character just like the other two. I do agree that their getting back together would be absurd though.

Well I guess remove is a bit too strong word. Though I don't think he getting worse and worse is the development we readers are looking for either. In the end, this is still a GL so having a dude get in the way of the two leads isn't any good, at least for me. I just hope Eri will put this broken relationship to the end already, and reduce his existence to the minimum in this story.

What exactly does Kyou still want to talk about lol. "Decide together" my ass, she doesn't give a shit about you. This dude should disappear already. I will be mad if somehow author decides they could reconcile for more drama, lmao. Like, instead of taking an easy way out and remove him from the story after what happened last chapter, author just makes him even worse and we still have to endure the existence of this guy lol.

And sometimes I wish Fuyuki could be selfish. Her no-boundary selflessness actually makes me tired.

Agreed with swossy. All I could see after all the spoilers is Eri wants to still be Fuyuki's number one, so she is thinking about being her gf as an option. Not much from the romantic side I could feel. She better sorts out her feelings soon, and even if it could be disappointed that it turned out she only wanted to monopolize Fuyuki, at least there wouldn't be any problem rooting for Fuyuki moving on and being with someone else. The chains should be broken at some point, I didn't endure all the drama just for some unsatisfying ending.

Now that I think about it, with all of Eri's thought process recently, the wedding at the start, if it's Eri's, has a good chance to be between her and a random guy. Like, I don't even remember wedding between girls happen much in yuri series unless it's a oneshot (I only remember Citrus). So, this series could be similar to many stories out there, where a gay girl falls for a straight one, just with extra steps. They may actually end up dating at some point, but it just didn't work out. Eri finally realized she still could be Fuyuki's number one "as friend", while Fuyuki already moved on and attended the wedding with her gf.

as far as I’m aware it was published as a series of doujins at Comitia, so I don’t think axing makes sense

Then I guess it makes sense for the story to be confusing, cause as doujins there probably wasn't any editor to fix any part that could cause confusion. Personally, the way they treated Maika at the end, I'm just not a fan.
