Anyway, this gives me strong “Destroy it All and Love Me in Hell” storytelling plus “I Love Amy” characterization vibes, with a dash of supernatural horror elements and a LOT of insanity mixed in.

So needless to say, this is awesome. Can’t wait for the next chapter, and hope the author had it planned out!

The start was pretty good, but the over the top cartoonish abusing uncle and cousins are a bit too ridiculous. And the whole thing with some random monster or whatever ripping the cousin and her apart was kinda weird. Even the “how can I go to hell…when I’m already in hell…?” line was a little cringe lol.

But still, I’m interested in at least seeing what the hell kind of explanation there is for whatever happened and what exactly this senpai is. I just hope the edginess gets dialed back just a tad cuz it really feels like I just read some late 2000s fan fiction or something.

It's a little lazy, but it's more efficient to have extreme setup to justify the extreme elements. Mundane and nuanced complex case of child abuse doesn't warrant intervention by a supernatural monster, not that the readers would be interested in such details in the first place.

It's a monster. What do you expect, it filing a report to the child protection service, then accompanying the police dropping by for a investigation and a stern reprimand?

Eh, that's a dramatic line, real life humans don't really talk like that in the same situation (they just whimper, cry, scream either for help or in rage of battle), but we don't go into supernatural horror fiction drama to see normal reactions, do we?

I am assuming that the monster has been lured in to prey on the unhappy household. And that's assuming it was not sent by Komachi in the first place. I know that she presented herself as its enemy during the confrontation, but I still don't trust that girl. I would be happy to be proven utterly wrong about her, though.

For a short moment I thought the string monster was helping her (and is somehow related to the spider she helped out). I guess now with an arm and a leg missing she can't escape her new mother, even if she wanted to.
