hi guys! its my first time posting here so i'm not really sure of the rules; im sorry!
i just wanted to ask if yall knew of any manga thats like evil yuri if that makes sense. like i mean something where the main characters are morally grey/morally evil.
thank you guys so much!Love Thy Neighbor (very very NSFW)
I Love AmyBoth hosted elsewhere. These are
Romanceand fairly straightforward, I wouldn't call them evil exactly but they're definitely about mental health and some pretty questionable characters. There's also stuff like After School Love Affairs which is more, awful girls being awful to each other. There aren't too manyYuristories about questionable characters and there aren't many about things other thanRomanceeither, so it's a tough question :)
If you ask me, you’ll have a lot of luck finding those evil stuff if you just look at the top rated Korean Manhwa. (On batocomics, of course, they have a bunch of those, and you can search for their “GL Anthology” for what you want, I speak from experience.) Of course the average “main characters are morally grey/morally evil” about Yuri on there is often tied to infidelity or being a player in general, but you can definitely find the ones to your liking, whatever kind of evil you’re looking for. It’s almost always super obvious at first sight.
I do have to say that “Love Thy Neighbor” is practically the definition of Toxic Yuri. “I Love Amy” isn’t really that evil, since the protagonists didn’t really do anything truly harmful if I recall correctly.
They’re both incredibly well done stories, though.
If it was just Manga, there’s also “Kitanai Kimi ga Ichiban Kawaii”. This Yuri is also rather toxic with some serious backlash, but also one of the classics.
Does anyone have a Gyaru x Honor student with the later as the top? For example, flashy girl x elite mature Student coucil president or something like that. it doesn't have to be about student, i'm just looking for something with that kind of dynamic.

This one might work. It’s massively entertaining but very crazy. Like brainrot.
"And we wound up on a deserted island."
... how far from the beach did they go on their tiny boat thingie?!
Wouldn't surprise me if they just washed up a bit further down the shore from the hotel, and just jump to the conclusion that they are on a deserted island because some trees block the view to the building.
True, that's how it usually goes. ... that being said I could also picture Wakana showing up in a helicopter rescuing those two idiots.
Either that or she walks around the bend to find them (hate?) making out
Egawa Miyako Sensei is feeling left out, you guys...
She's probably having a heart-to-heart moment with Wakana right now! (not in a cucking way though, lol, just sharing their common love and affection towards Ruruna-sama~)
Been five years since the last Mochi Au Lait short Yuri.
A surprise, but not an unwelcome one!
And although it got cringe in the middle, it worked out so sweetly at the end!
And I see Stan Miller translated it, cool!
Hinami's love is so strong she's got to spend the same day with Tsukino for 27 consecutive years before getting bored.
And in the same time period where nothing has an impact on the future, nonetheless!
Time loop is just so wacky and crazy!
Their love is just so cute!
Also that Among Us at the end is such an OMG moment~
So is it time to actually make it into a Girl Band story? (lol)
I mean there are already so much of that kind so not sure how can this stand out…
But still, I binged this whole stuff in a few hours, and boy am I glad to arrive at this perfect time! Even if it’s just 4 pages each time, I am just so excited! How will they perform and beat their obstacles, and I am curious to know how will it turn out in anime! (But funny enough, this kind of story is the exact kind I know would fit to have multiple seasons telling different stories and solving different conflicts. Just shows the growth, you know? Usually most manga just have one huge conflict throughout and they just have to get it done in one season.)
Excited to see the next part!
Wow, potassium cyanide…
Say, isn’t that stuff what lab dwellers use to see if iron trivalent ions exist in a given solution or something?
No wait, that’s something else which contains sulfur…
So yeah, give her some cobalt and use it to create less harmful substances!
But still, I believe she’ll pull through regardless. She has far too many experience with so many dangerous events…
That was an anticlimactic reveal, but I don’t really know what I was expecting.
This isn’t your average school murder mystery after all, and the focus on the “how” and “why” of this single kill would’ve been derailing from the point of the story, I suppose.
But that lore at the end of the chapter is really interesting. The level rankings and identity and whatnot. If the author is planning to take it to that direction…then it may cast some light on what this school and Shirotae is about.
(And this chapter is so short! Not nearly enough for a good event discussion!)
Future!!! Future!!! Future!!! Future!!! Squidward voice
I see the shadow of “Destroy it all and love me in hell” (Manga) and “Soulmate” (Manhua) vibes in one chapter, and we get to see a story which has time travel/isakai which features someone other than the isakai’d one as the protagonist!
And we got girl bands? Haven’t seen much of that genre, but I hope it’s going to go somewhere interesting! (But if she wanted her to make a band with her so quickly, then it must be a long-time consideration. I wonder what caused her to have that idea in the future…)
Oh, and the art style is a bit different than the usual manga. The mouths are drawn a bit bigger and it allows for wider grins and smiles of cheerful sunshine!
Thought this would be product placement.
Disappointed.
That peach sure has seen some crazy stuff…
But seriously, I would say that Pitaya juice (the fire-looking fruit) would mimic blood better, especially when it’s cut with a knife. Even though it’s more blue and purple, the dark shade makes it look much more bloody than it should be.
Ugh, honestly I kinda hate this move from the author.
Personaly the reason why I love harems (where most seems to hate them) is because I'm a nerd for good character interactions. Though there was several flags already that this wasn't this type of story, I love when the characters are given the space to live and breath and be their own person outside of the MC, and I think the Karin-Riri flirting, Maria-Kaoru tension, or Minato-Kaoru bonding moments were good example of this and kinda made me hopeful for the rest of the story (it was literally in my top 5 running yuri series until now lol).
But this to me proves the author barely thought about their own characters past the "5 senses" schtick and don't plan on doing so, which is disappointing to say the least. Senpai was soo immemorable, it's like she was there and then kinda just left.
Anyway all this to say, if you genuinely don't know how to write side-characters outside of their relationship to the MC and don't intend on milking the hell out of every potential ship, personality and dialogue in your harem story, then you're making poor use of a harem imo !
Unfortunately harems in general don't actually commit to being a harem. I think this is a feeling a good amount of people have had for awhile and a growing sentiment over the years. I somewhat recently saw a Reddit post venting about this as well. I wish we had a lesbian harem series that had the same kind of energy as 100 girlfriends, which feels like someone that got fed up with harems not committing so the creator went with the most absurd idea possible. Where the series fully commits to it being a harem, and has various characters that pair off into pairs and groups to bond with each other. I wish this manga was along those lines, where the harem forms close bonds together and they're all dating the MC at the same time.
That’s a good point, because when it comes to harems, when they all want the protagonist but “monogamous” is the norm, there will be fierce competition in the way, no matter what.
And it’s a problem because the relationship between the girls would be pretty stiff, since only one person can win the best girl and have her hand in marriage…plus the “harem master” will be in an extremely unbalanced position (this is mostly why I hate the harem genre in general, actually. Yuri makes it better because I can shove “gender norms” out the window and don’t think about it. I just love girls getting girls, whatevs.)
I’m not asking Mei to be as powerful and devoted as the almighty Rentaro of the 100 girlfriends (or as popular and sexy as that girl who “Won’t Sleep With You For Free”), but I do wish her to grow along her girlfriends and have them change as well during all those variety of interactions. That’s enough for those friendship points to accumulate and have them fall in love. (Too bad our protagonist just had two genuine love confessions and lost two contestants. It’s a good thing Kaoru still had that plushie which still held Mei’s scent, so she can be stronger.)
And the reason I want this author to make this a “real harem” is because it goes to show that variety is key to life and she needs all her senses to live well. All her girl friends love her different aspects first and then got to know her as herself.
But who knows? I wouldn’t put it past the author to make them available for Mei even if they’re seemingly gone. (I can excuse Maria, because in a sense, the “Sight” sense is the one that can work the furthest, probably second only to hearing (light is faster than sound), and they can still meet again at school. But Kaoru is not one I can really understand at the moment. Because it gives her a premature ending, and it also seems a bit unfair compared with the others.)
…
Ultimately I still have faith in the author. She’s got that kind of imagination and creativity rivaling Mochi Au Lait (they both have that one-of-a-kind art style, too) and I believe she has plans for the future of each characters…because NO WAY some of them just had to end it before the protagonist says so! Harem and the five-sense connections are already crazy, what’s wrong with a bit more?
Sui-Chan pulled out an UNO reverse card! It was super effective, the hooker got hooked instead!
New girl at the bar also pulled out an UNO reverse card! It was super effective, the shy bottom just became a top!
I’m having fun with this! Let’s see what these girls’ drama will be! And can or protagonist live her life without being screwed?
Definitely not lol. But it’s bound to be fun to watch how she keeps it together~
I can confirm it'll be a square.
Surprising! Don't think I have read a yuri square before.
I feel like it'll be the main 2 who have feelings for each other and then 2 girls with unrequited or "losing" feelings. If that's how it goes, I've seen that a fair bit, though it's not always treated like a love square in that scenario.
"Our Love is Disgusting," for example, has that right now. Same with "My Girlfriend Isn't Here Today," and "Destroy it all and Love Me in Hell," also. I was just reading "Letters on the Wall," and that too has a technical square (though a guy was on one of the two ends). Even "There is No Love Wishing Upon a Star" sort of has this too. As long as the MCs are open about potentially liking each other, you get one unrequited drama stirrer for each protagonist normally, for maximum fun.
Yeah, when talking about Yuri squares, I’m reminded of those stories, too! (But especially “Our Love Is Disgusting”, that’s pretty much a solid square a few chapters in.)
It’s fun because although It’s a “square”, we already knew the main pair to root for from the beginning. And the rest of the characters are just sort of “interacting with the two MCs” and are along the way while they grow and technically create obstacles for the main pair.
But seriously, love triangles are already super hard to manage, because when you have a character who’s obsessed with another and a third one who’s obsessed with the first character, I just don’t know what to do because I want the third one to have their share of love as well, especially when they’re a genuinely good person and devoted a lot on person 1. (Well, for me personally anyway. That’s what I thought.) Because in a sense, unlike love squares or straight up harems, love triangles have much more screen time to flesh out each character’s style and motivations, and tell us why should we support them, and have them influence all other characters in an way which we can’t ignore … and even in some cases (some very good cases, if I may add) the line between good and bad in objective and subjective ways are not always clear so we don’t know who’s the best for who, and are at the mercy of the author.
That’s when we know it’s an excellent work.
And the other stories you mention had love “squares”? That’s rather neat! I have to check them out!
Man…No! Kaoru was such a responsible and intelligently wild girl I still love her so much…and her last words for Mei is just so beautiful. The humor, the love, the energy, such an awesome person all around.
I really hope that she may return, even if it’s just video calls for advice and stuff. When the competition gets shaved off, you know that the end is near. And I just don’t know how to resolve the remaining plot lines.
But seriously. I am greatly anticipating what Tamamusi has planned for the ending. One of the reasons I hate “monogamous ending for a harem story” is because it basically means that everyone else except for the end game couple doesn’t really have a resolved ending. Because you know, since the story is a “harem”, then most of the tale will be about the MC interacting with the love interests that are…well, in love with the MC.
To make the story more fascinating, a harem wouldn’t be just a harem. If we’re telling a story then I would expect the characters to have a lot more impact on each other and have more definite relationships.
I personally think this harem story already rank among the best (not that I have read many anyway), because aside from the MC’s relationships with the love interests, the love interests themselves have relatively relatable dynamics with each other, or just valid interactions showing how they’re not so separate from each other. They have so much interactions with each other and yet none of it seems really repetitive or OOC.
Like, we have Riri, Minato, Maria, Kaoru and Karin as the fearsome five, right?
So Riri - Minato - Kaoru was partially established when they had that competition back at Maria’s beach vacation. (Although it was mostly Minato - Kaoru, but it still stands)
Riri - Kaoru was when Kaoru insightfully helped out Riri with her schoolwork and earned a ton of respect.
Riri - Karin was there during that beach episode when Karin couldn’t hold it back, and when Riri walked in on her “eating up” Mei a while back.
Minato - Kaoru was obvious, since they got to bond quite a lot during the beach episode through their love for Mei (and the initial obliviousness for it) plus a whole lot of competitiveness, and wine as well.
Minato - Karin was shown when she claimed that she would protect Mei from Karin and her actions, and of course, back when they put on that show with Mei together. Shows that they knew each other quite well.
Maria is a very intelligent psychology professor, so she already discovered all the others’ interests for Mei. Makes sense that she knows all of those girls by default.
Maria - Minato was back when they met while Mei was just there thinking that those two had something going on and the atmosphere was off.
Maria - Kaoru was way back, hinted during the beach episode that they had something sort of beef in the past.
Maria - Karin was during the beach episode and they had that one talk at the balcony about their feelings for Mei (and how Maria realized Karin is smarter than she gave credit for).
So that’s a lot of interactions. And that’s just the ones I can remember off the top of my head. Probably more but I may forgot. I just love special interactions.
(Mei’s first crush didn’t have a chance to really interact, but since the author decided to give her a lot of relevance as of now, I shall wait patiently and see what would happen.)
And among those, I find “Kaoru - Maria” the most interesting as of now. (Minato - Karin as the runner-up)
Because it seems that they are the most mature (and held a realistic attitude on life) and developed among them all, and they (unlike others) have connected way before Mei’s appearance.
And isn’t it just so coincidental that those two mature girls just had that serious talk during the fireworks before both of them automatically (and possibly definitely) dropped out of the competition for Mei until further notice? (Even after Kaoru explicitly said to Minato that she’s not going to give up without a fight, and Maria desperately wanted Mei to make a move on her before the vacation.)
This is just a wild theory, but…could it be that Maria held that vacation to see who would be the best for Mei and confronted Kaoru (with whom she’s the closest) and discussed what’s the best, and agreed that it’s for the best that if all of them wanted her so bad (not to mention Maria realized Karin’s capabilities while Kaoru realized Minato’s determination), and they had too many obstacles keeping them from love compared with the rest, it’d be better if they just burn the bridge for Mei after this trip?
But I dunno, I still wanted a harem ending and for everyone to love Mei (and have sesbian lex with her) but those mature responsibilities are getting in the way dang it!
Even if it stretches across Mei’s college years, I want everyone to love and have her!
Callback!
I love it when they do that! Last ninja, the clones, back to killing, the purpose of murder…
Not to mention their shipping and feelings…so awesome!
Unfortunately it all looks like a really big hint for the end of arc, you know?
I wonder what they will achieve with all that power, with finding the meaning of their lives and all…
And I hope Marin gets better with her sister after the cloning stuff…honestly I really want them to make better.
Oh, and don’t forget about all the clones’ promises with Leader! That’s going to be interesting later on~
I did notice a typo, but I guess that was Cuetie Scans playing with us~
And happy anniversary, scanlators!
Here’s to many more years to come and more Yuri comics for all to enjoy!
“I now know why you cry.”
Ah, daily Mutt x Woman madness. She really is such a bad puppy, eh? Do you know that is high level seduction technique for dummies like you?
Too bad you don’t possess the guts to punish her heart~ (yet)
