I literally thought the same thing. I told myself, ‘Oh well, isn’t that a Mamamoo reference?' I also thought her real name Haneul reminded me of kiss of life Haneul ^_^

Ofc this is a Yuri manga, so the MC is probably not gonna end up being any type of ace, but I quite enjoyed the friend with the same reaction as her to dating lol

I think it's implied Natsuki is in deep denial about her attraction to women, or at the very least there is more going on than plain stupidity. It was established earlier that the dating app could be used to look for friends, and at no point did Natsuki refer to the meetup with Haneul as a date, even in her thoughts. She also expressed a discomfort with the topic of dating that she couldn't explain (pg 15). So I think her confusion over Haneul looking for a women-only bar confirms that she's not consciously expecting to 'score' with Haneul; she really was just curious about her.

Adding onto this, Hanakage Alt is something of a lesbian activist and was also involved in the butch yuri kickstarters. So, she's definitely intentional about what she's writing

All of my friends are in their 30s and a lot of them loved KPop Demon Hunters, my mom did as well. Plus various friends of mine loved League's KDA and KPop before the movie. Also Gangname Style is Kpop as well and that was popular in 2012...oh god that makes me feel old lmao

There are 20 and 30 year old kpop fans? 2nd and 3rd gen fans tend to be older.

Since I used to follow kpop a lot and I read a fair amount of manhwa I didn't even realize that "unnie" was a weird thing to show up till I got to the notes and was like "oh yeah, they say oneechan in Japanese", like my brain fully didn't recognize the incongruity.

Also, yeah, Haneul/Solar definitely felt kind of manipulative. There's no way that A) she didn't purposefully get herself to Natsuki's place by pretending she's more drunk than she is, although the throwing up threw me off, and B) she doesn't know Natsuki is a fan of hers.
