Yes, my ship!!! So cute!! Even if I relatively enjoyed the Jaspis one shots this artist made in the past, this is just superior I'm sorry
I totally agree >.< Like the Jaspis ones were good but I just love these guys' dynamic so much more ^_^
Edit: Yknow thinking about it a little longer, I think I enjoy this ship more because I read the other stories before this- not because of what Lapis and Jasper did to each other, but more so what Peridot does for Lapis. Once I was told that part of being in a relationship is wanting to grow as a person alongside your partner and I find that Lapidot's dynamic in this story reflects that in a way. One example I can think of is Lapis' ability and desire to cook. In the previous stories, she heavily relied on Jasper for her meals and in her absence she still couldn't make anything from scratch and had to turn to microwaveable items. And with Peridot, she's cooking- or rather THEYRE cooking together! She also memorized how to set up and use a projector which -- and I may be pushing it here -- seems like something someone with her personality couldn't be bothered to do. She also seems to be making slow progress with her lingering attachments to Jasper, and so it's nice to see how Peridot is helping her feel better about 'em. I know the author literally spells out this concept towards the end of the book but idk I think it's really sweet. lolol
