Omg the last time I looked at this series it was tagged with Subtext and now it's actually tagged Yuri and Romance? Did these two finally tie the knot?

I mean, sorta. They still live in a nation which doesn't sanction gay marriage, but they're more or less official. Kasumi has at least quietly sorted out her feelings about Sakurako, and Sakurako hasn't exactly been subtle about how she feels.

I had translated part of the last volume for myself when the official translation came out. That'll teach me to be so slow.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she took some inspiration from the book when she started the series and it had been her goal all along to end it with the book as an analogy for Kasumi and Sakurako’s relationship, making it clear what kind of relationship the two would have in the end, even if she might not be able to show that explicitly.

The series was a bit too open-ended for my tastes, but with the knowledge about the referenced book, I feel reassured about Kasumi and Sakurako’s future. <3

The one shot that follows up the series also lends itself to reassuring their future (like rainbow8 mentioned).

And this deep dive on the rabbits book was so great, seems to be very intentional intertextuality

Do you like slice of life? Read it.
If you're interested in romance/yuri, it might be best to skip this one. Romance isn't the focus of this manga at all.

Very sweet chapter. Love these two. More confirmation of their life together, if more was even needed. Reminds me to reread the series too.

tbh I think she should have kept dressing Kasumi, she is not rocking the Stop Making Sense & sweater vest combo.

That was cute :3 I got a little surprised seeing a room for two being uploaded after some time.

If I think back ten years, I can remember a lot actually. If you go a bit further than that, I remember dying over Yukiko's art on Pixiv, and being so excited for this series to get translated. This nostalgic feeling from a chapter that's, I guess sorta anti-nostalgic, feels really weird. I think it's a good feeling though. Still always happy to see more of these two, the art is just lovely as always.
