And so we're running away after all, and small wrongs are unexpectedly building up to a big right.
Going to scream if Takara somehow finds a way to keep denying what's going on and shut down this confession. Literally everything about the moment is perfect just let it happen girl.
JUST KISS ALREADY, EXCEPT DON'T BECAUSE YOU'RE MARRIED
It’s crazy how quick people are to label a woman as a villain for having a messy relationship. The possibility of a sort of psuedo beard type relationship with her husband is tantalizing, but seems unlikely. Ema was in love with Takara as a kid but got abandoned out of nowhere during a time when she was the only person who Ema could open up to, which left her alone and adrift while dealing with her shit mom.
Hario comes into the picture as someone who is kind to her and willing to support her, and he offers her a way away from her horrible mom and is able to “protect” her from her mom in some ways. They got married when they graduated college and then there was a decade or more until she reunited with Takara. Even if she’s a lesbian who never felt love for Hario, they still have a decade of marriage together and that whole time presumably he was her support to stand against her mom and have freedom.
Of course she’s still relying on him while also behaving ambiguously with Takara! She’s got basically no fucking support network outside of her husband, and now suddenly her childhood friend who she’s in love with too! Clearly she’s still not in a place where she can just say “I’m gonna change everything around me and leave behind the husband who cherishes me and who I’ve become dependant on for the last decade”. That’s not how any of this works.
And to put it in simple terms, none of this is her fault, she did the best she could in the situations she was forced into, and it just so happens that she’s gotten into a really difficult set of relationships because of it.
Just want to 1000% agree.

oooo hotel room with only one bedddd...what are they gonna do??? ;3
Wondering if we'll get constant updates of this because I know it's vol 4 here but if you Google most that are sold are vol 1 and 2. So im here thinking what me a poor person from SEA where currency is a pain for my wallet can anticipate if we'll get all updates here. Its so good and beautiful every lesbian have their own sad story and mine was an ex saying "we're not meant to be forever" and proceed to date her, i guess forever boyfriend to husband. So seeing another side of pain is intruiging and they're all such lovable characters can't get enough of them
sometimes it really feels like they're never gonna get there and i start getting exhausted reading it but i know the payoff is gonna be so good i just know it....

It's this whole nuanced situation that keeps me coming back. I don't have any real projections or expectations on how this story will end because it's not as cut and dry as cute-little-highschool-childhood-friend-crush is. I'm super curious on how this will go and I'm just hoping for the least painful (but not wildly unrealistic) ending for everyone
CMOOOOOON I NEED SOMETHING TO HAPPEN
TT__TT ugh yess
I guess I'm just an emotional masochist, but i love this dumb melodramatic drawn out purgatory stasis they're in
Where the weight of reality is put off for this escapist rendezvous
Oh!
I need to reread this chapter while listening to Nijikan dake no vacance by utada hikaru and sheena ringo !!
I feel like..the song's lyrics and this chapter reallyyy matches up

i liked this chapter as build-up, but yeah we're definitely at the tipping point here. something's gotta give either in the next chapter or the one after...then the real drama will begin...i don't know if im excited or nervous for that though.
Oh my god thank you for uploading i know this will such a heart wrenching masterpiece but call me masochist because give me all the pain man. Thank you so much for the upload istg it's too good shame I only just found about it now
Whether she's really not noticing or just in denial or afraid, she sure works hard to keep herself from realizing the truth. But slowly but surely this trip is bringing them closer each moment.
Okay, this is sweet, fluffy, wholesome, etc.... But it's been 19 chapters, and they are just turning around each other. Yeah, yeah, they are more closer each chapter.
We get it; they are gay and in the closet. But this teasing is just so looooonnnng. I'm not asking for a sex scene, but to be more daring in their flirtation? maybe
I guess the serious angst-y series don’t get the Idiot Couple
tag, huh?
Seriously, I just re-read the whole thing, and like several commenters above, I’m totally down with this, frustrating though it is at times.
Although the husband, Hario, isn’t actually an interesting character in himself, he does do interesting things to the dynamic: on the one hand he’s the traditional block to the MCs getting together, but he also encourages their friendship, since Ema seems to be an entirely different, and much happier, person when Takara is around. He’s also the traditional “absent because of work” manga husband, but he’s notably caring and kind to his beautiful emotional trainwreck of a wife. (The half-second where Takara thinks maybe Ema’s distress is because of domestic abuse indicates how he’s not going to play the standard husband-who-needs-to-be-ditched role in yuri manga.)
I actually don’t see how these two could be together long-term (economically, that is) unless Hario goes all-in as a yuri wingman and subsidizes a love nest for the two of them. When Ema tells him about the pied-a-terre apartment, she suggests that she has her “own” income, but doesn’t that money come from working for him?
Whether they “should” be together as a couple is an entirely different question. In real-life terms, Ema needs lots of psychological/emotional repair work that requires a therapist, not a romantic partner. In yuri manga terms, though, the “first loves reunited” magic spell may well serve to conquer all.
Does Takara not make enough to support a roommate? Don't actually remember what her job is.
Therapy is stigmatized in Japan, and Japanese women are less likely than men to try to use it (contrary to Western pattern), so guess they'll have to work on their problems the old-fashioned way.

My suspicion is not—she works at a real estate office, and her job entails some physical labor, like cleaning and other caretaking of properties. Ema, on the other hand, is clearly used to a well-to-do lifestyle. Hario owns one restaurant and is expanding with the coffee shop that is ostensibly Ema’s to manage. (Ema’s mother re-married, apparently to a CEO, but I’m pretty sure there was no suggestion that Ema benefited financially—she seemed quite estranged from her mother.)

Right—my point was that in romances there’s the implication that the loved one can serve to heal severe emotional and psychological damage, but in real life that generally doesn’t work. And Ema, who passes out when her horrible mother yells at her and who habitually is full of negative self-talk, clearly has suffered a lot of damage.

Oof! I like the story. It's Soo good (>////< )
I love the dream too.
She is the hero to save Takara chan.
I can even imagine the whole running away from this place and start a whole life together, haha (just kidding).
This is sweet. And

And! I also agree on this again X2 so ya. I know this is no fairy tale ending and it's close to how a reality works but the story it presents is really sweet so I'll just let this slip for awhile and enjoy both of them having a good time together (*´ω`*)

ARGH! We have confirmation on/from Ema, now we just need them to stop being useless!
