Maybe I have too much hope, but Takahiko seems fairly decent all things considered. He wants to be better than his father and marry into a good family, yes, but those things aren't mutually exclusive with Ayano and Tsubaki having a relationship. I don't think he'd be too happy with becoming a beard, but whatever.

I’m inches away on regretting reading this and not wait for the story to finish and whatever is a tragedy or some bittersweet ending with Ayano having a child but also having Tsubaki as a mistress >.> OR a happy ending? but the chances are getting lower chapter by chapter T^T
First time picking this one up, but I don't think it's going into a bad direction. The way I see it, it will finish with both girls together, earning money from Ayano's cloths designs (with Tsubaki as her model) that she will sell to brothels. It's already been hinted that the brothel is interested and they have an ally into the brothel already.
As for the fiancé, he doesn't seem like a bad person, even if he has ulterior motives. He is also a prisoner of his condition and family and I wouldn't be surprised he ends up being an ally once his situation will be resolved.
Anyway, quite a refreshing manga.
