I have a feeling the story might take that path, but probably not at this point, more likely as the plot intensifies. The way the story is unfolding reminds me of many historical yuri-themed manga and manhwa, like Ghosts of Grey Woods, Her Tale of Shim Chong, and Goodbye, My Rose Garden.

Shame is a powerful suppressing force to control people. Stigmatize a natural act, and you control how people act. Control how people act, you have a legitimized social power structure.

This is not to ignore the history of diseases that are sexually transmitted, something to actually be careful of, but in the end it's all a way to keep a populace under thumb. Just for one example there was The Sexual Revolution of the mid-1900s where it was being normalized, but an unintended consequence was also the AIDS epidemic. But instead of treating the problem - AIDS - they instead doubled down on the stigmatizing of sex, especially homosexual relationships, using AIDS as a reason to not have sex at all. You see the aftereffects still today, where a decade ago being gay was seen as the cause of the fall of Western (cough US cough) society.

The scapegoats have changed over time and by region, but the reason is always the same no matter where you go.

I haven't read the first of those three but there was no such plot point in the latter two. Shim Chong is supposed to be blood boiling at times, but not it that way. And Rose Garden is relatively chill for a historical Yuri manga.

You're using some pretty awful language by the way; "fucking her husband" makes it sound like getting married is something Ayano is actively choosing to do. Marital rape was also not a crime until very recently in most of the world, meaning that a woman's right to deny sex from her husband was not recognized by the law. Ayano is being groomed into a marriage as a teenager, and if it goes through her husband may try to get her to consent to sex through coercion, but he will have no legal obligation to do even that much.

Tomoe who thinks Ayano is definitely going way too far for a woman she barely knows but who ultimately respects Ayano's drive and wants the best for her, and the fiancee who just revealed to her that he's really only playing along to get Ayano to understand that this is a futile endeavor so she can become his wife without issue?

Also let's not forget Tomoe has been jealous of Tsubaki all this time, because she wants to be the one supporting Ayano, she's acted the way she has so far because she doesn't really want for Ayano to help Tsubaki, because if Ayano does, then Tsubaki not Tomoe will become the most important person to Ayano.

So I'll be honest, I do not think Tomoe would want anything to do with the fiance, I think he's here to provide a mirror through which she can see how her love will not lead to a fundamentally different result than his disdain. So as to spur her into action and actually do what's best for Ayano rather than placating her own feelings by supporting her endeavors only on the premise that she's likely to fail.

Ayano is worried about Tsubaki and her lovely fiance tries to soothe her by explaining why human trafficking in okay as long as it involves people being merely sold instead of stolen...

I'd like to say the fact that he so flagrantly underestimates both Ayano and Tsubaki ('they can't do anything lol') does not bode well for him but I don't want to get too optimistic
