Wait she was a womanizer? I'm vaguely remembering but I thought she broke up with MC because she didn't feel like MC was actually interested in the relationship. Not in the sense that she's a womanizer but more that she just seemed like she went with the flow.

In one of the earlier chapters the ex warns her not to be a womanizer this time .
It's something like " you get really interested in them but then act like a womanizer please don't make the same mistake as you did with me "
We know the ex dumped her but probably over the womanizing . She still clearly cares for her and i kinda prefer her to mc .

From my memory, the issue wasn't that Kasane womanized. She was distant from people, even though she got close to them. She didn't seem to care that much romantically. For example, once they broke up, Kasane immediately adjusted and was fine being friends (check the previous chapter). The friend broke up because she realized they didn't feel the same, though they used the same words. They discussed this "distance issue" in an earlier chapter (8).

Part of the friend's current realization (and what she "tested" in the last chapter) is that Kasane finally seems to care for someone truly and understands her feelings. "Love" really means "love," this time. Before her feelings were superficial, but she meant well and didn't seem to realize it. She was the overly bubbly, touchy girl. She wasn't just dating around or anything. She just never loved her friend (or anyone) in the way she loves Meguru.

It feels like a setup for Mimei to be a voice of reason. Either to divide the couple, or to drive them together. Maybe we get to see Mimei and Kasane's past relationship to better understand her future choices when crucial moments occur.

We already saw and know their past though. She's just a major character and it's important to understand her psychology.

Unlikable might bit a bit strong, but she's definitely a peculiar MC in a lot of ways. She'd make more sense if this was a pure comedy manga.
