Speaking of volumes, there are two bonus chapters that haven't been posted on this site. I'm including a brief summary of what happens in each- there aren't any spoilers, but they help flesh out some secondary characters.

I'll check with the TL if he's against doing them, as I think it's best to have the complete version here as well.

We're expecting a new chapter this month (Jan 2024), so we'll do our best to get the release out asap once the raw is out.

Volume 6 in Japanese is scheduled to be on sale on 2024/02/17. There's a first-print limited edition, so I'd highly recommend getting it if you can. Scanlation-release-wise, we'll probably have c32, volume extra, and then the first print limited booklet.

I hope that you will continue to support the series until the end.

Just got a confirmation from Yuama-sensei that there'll be 2 chapters left for KimiTsuzu. The "conclusion" marking on the "next issue" page of 2024/01 issue was a mistake.

One thing I'm a bit confused about with the new group of scanlators is the honorific usage, which seems a little inconsistent. For example, Ruri greets Shizuku with "Shizuku-chan" near the end of the chapter, but leaves off the "chan" in Chapter 27. Additionally, Shizuku seems to have dropped the "-san" from Ichihara's name despite having consistently used it until the new scanlators took over.

Thank you for pointing it out. I'll pass this feedback to the translator. I think we just missed it when we QC.

For what it's worth, the only personnel change is me who does clean/redraw/typeset. The translation should stay pretty consistent, as it's the same translator who has been working from the start with 8888, until he spun off to form KLF and I joined the team.

Well, as of the time when chapter 30 was released:

• The next chapter is schedule to come next month (Nov 17, 2023).
• It doesn't have any indication on the "next issue" page that it'll be the last chapter.
• Sensei also haven't said anything about it ending in the next issue or not.

I guess we'll see what's coming together...

Why did you change Shiina's name to Sheena? Shiina sounds more convenient and is also a meaningful word in Japanese, while Sheena has no meaning at all

We changed the names to follow the official spellings that was introduced by the author.

To be honest, I felt like the original spellings were chosen because, as you said, it's the way you would romanize their names, as the original scanlators did not have access to these resources. Once we have the official spelling, I had a discussion with the original translator, and we both agree that it's best to use official spelling going forward.

The decision to change the spelling wasn't made lightly, and I apologize if it made anyone feeling uneasy after seeing them.

BTW, sensei announced in advance that volume 6 will be a thicker volume, so there might still be at least 2 chapters left.

On the last page of last month's YuriHime, there's no "climax chapter" indication for KimiTsuzu, so I'm leaning toward 2.

But yes ... it surely going to come to a conclusion sooner than later.

c16 ... it's happening ... it's finally happening ... AAAAAAAAAaaaaaa!!!

One reason I really liked that KH picked this up is that the story is very timely. It's such a clever and cute plot point.

As KH mentioned in the credit page, the mask requirement before March 13, 2023 was "mask required indoor, mask not required outdoor" (https://web.archive.org/web/20230129202008/https://www.mhlw.go.jp/stf/covid-19/mask.html) Hence, they wanted to meet outside so they can take off their masks.

I can't imagine reading this story a year later and getting the same impact as reading it today, as we're still fresh from the "mask required indoor" era. So, it's such a timely story that released at (almost) the right time, and getting scanlated while it's still relevant.

Thank you KH for (agreeing that we should) picking this up :D

Btw I heard that Volume 5 of the manga was recently released in which the author said the manga will be ending in its 6th volume.

Yep, sensei has announced at the end of volume 5 (chapter 25.5, coming soon™) that the story of "Kimi to Tsuzuru Utakata" will conclude in 6 volumes.

She later mentioned on her FANBOX that it was her own decision to conclude the story in the next volume, after discussing it with her editor. There's no external pressure, it's the author's intention.

All volume has 5 chapters each. Vol5 has chapters 21~25. If this remains the same for the next volume, that means it will be ending in chapter 30 and tbh I'm not ready. The manga has 26 chapters btw so in just 4 more chapters the inevitable might be happening.

In the FANBOX post above, she also mentioned that volume 6 "will be a little thicker than usual". So, I'd say around 6-7 chapters instead. (Chapter 26 was already out and it was a bit short because she "was busy", so I counted that as half a chapter.)

She also said that she'll do her best to bring the story to the conclusion, but there might be times when she will have to take a hiatus.

She hopes that we'll continue to support her until the end.
