I'm honestly still surprised that this topic is so divisive. For a grounded story to have a couple fighting and having communication issues, and then they have sex while one is a lot more drunk than the other, it just...rubs me the wrong way personally. Last time I deleted my thoughts on the subject because I didn't want to argue about it and it looks like that was right call, with how people are very much just not going to agree on this subject.

Nah fosho. I think debate and discussion is fun, we don't gotta all agree. I wouldn't call it arguing, idk why people are quick to shut it down. Maybe it's because online through words, I personally read all of these comments in a Ace attorney way, all silly and unserious. It's also interesting to see where people draw boundaries. Our definitions of abuse, SA, consent varies, and how comfortable we are with intimacy if other factors are involved. In media SA is often depicted as forceful and violent, consent has to be straight forward and clear cut. This kinda can be perceived as a grey area, where people have to think harder about using labels to describe this scene, the line blurs and there isn't a perfect label. There are many factors involved you have to take into consideration. The fact that it's divisive proves this in a way.

Mitsuki should let Aya about what went down last night, just the fact that she doesn't remember is the most disturbing part (imo), and that is by influence of alcohol. They probably will talk about it some chapters in the future.

Do you mean we the readers glossed over it? Or do you mean the manga? Seeing as the manga was the one that mentioned it, it's going to come up again. As far as readers, I'm not sure what sort of response you're looking for. Going back to ch 167 Mitsuki didn't want to sleep with Aya, she did it because Aya wanted to. It's not an ideal situation, but it doesn't read as abuse to me.

Us readers. And some are even defending it. It feels so unsettling that people don't care enough. She literally has no recollection of what happened, she consented very drunkenly. And the state of mind of Mitsuki accepting her advance is out of pure jealousy and fear that she will no longer hold worth for Aya because a big connecting part of their relationship, music, is teetering. And yeah, Mitsuki didn't seem like she wanted to. One is incoherent, the other is stirring in turmoil. They're both so clouded. As previous readers state, it's not black and white. I think the author is displaying how miscommunication (or no communication at all) in a relationship affect sexual aspects in a toxic manner. This was suppose to be uncomfortable, we were suppose to be disgusted. At the act, not a specific person. To define these actions to be abuse? Eh. But to defend it and call it consent, and how their relationship is like, like they have drunk sex often, Aya gets drunk a lot-- is dismissive and minimizing. This is not about their couple habits, but more people's attitude towards it, or how we treat it.

Are there more side stories?? And where can I read them?

still not over the fact that mitsuki abused that child's sister lol

People just log in here and type anything. By this logic, any time a couple fights, it should be labeled "abuse".

Pretty sure they're referring to the time Mitsuki slept with Aya while Aya was drunk. But to me, this just shows that the poster has never been in a committed relationship, because most couples give each other pre-consent for that kinda stuff. I've definitely had drunk sex with my committed partner before, and no, I didn't feel like I was abused lol

i told myself i wouldn't respond if someone else did, but oh well, i couldn't keep my word.
if those are your standards, that's fine, but it was never okay to take advantage of someone who was drunk for sex, which is what happened and the author chose to forget. (it's even worse if the drunk person doesn't remember what happened, as seems to be the case with aya).
well, i guess we all have different interpretations of the situation, but i still don't have any hope for mitsuki after that :/
edit: and i'm even less inclined to swallow the propaganda that "mitsuki is depressed and needs to touch her girlfriend"... sorry, but in stable relationships, you talk before having drunk sex (just one drunk person, in this case)

No but I'm so glad you pointed this out, I feel like we just glossed over it. AYA DOES NOT REMEMBER A THING FROM THAT NIGHT. And that is where the issue lies. It's weird. I hope it gets addressed.

Question, Is Saburouta on hiatus due to illness (or other reason), or have they more or less moved on from Citrus+ because they want to focus on other projects and is trying to keep this one Alive? Either way, I'm glad to see more of Matsuri and Harumi, though.

There is no official information about this, but we do know she is not ill, only that she is swamped with work and thus she can't focus all of her time on citrus. What is what keeps her so busy is anybody's guess. It would seem that she is not a full-time mangaka, and citrus is such a huge hit that it has given her enough leverage to work at her own pace without being worried about being axed.

Anyways, about the chapter, I'm delighted to finally have a full-blown Harumatsu chapter. Inori getting so attached to Harumin after just meeting her once is adorable, and I guess Harumin is like catnip for Matsuri's family. Gonna be interesting when she finally meets her in-laws. Is interesting to see Matsuri so vulnerable when she has been mostly unflappable, and the one getting reactions from others since her debut, a clear way to show how deep her crush on Harumin is. She is obviously not happy about Harumin moving to Kyoto, but I'm sure she will either follow her there or actually talk her into staying in Tokyo with her and the other girls.

Harumin's motivation to move out of Yuzu's influence is a curious one, but I'm guessing it stems more from her unrequited crush than just fearing being too influenced by her. Whatever it is, I'm certain this particular plot will end with Harumin openly confessing everything to Yuzu to get closure and then getting together with Matsuri.

That's good to hear that she's healthy! It's a shame that she's been so bombarded with work. I didn't know she wasn't a full-time mangaka I always assumed she was because of how successful Citrus has been. Reading that she's not a full-time mangaka is definitely news to me. Thanks for letting me know!

What work is she bombarded with? I've only ever known her to be working on Citrus. What else does she do?

This setting makes no sense, lol.

Give it a moment to simmer, it's been chapter 1, though I can see how the world building can be easily screwed up.

The art style feels like a blend of Kuwabara Tamotsu and Amazaki Suika :)
But this is pretty damn cute!

it's funny you mention that since they drew fanart of one of the characters from Destroy It All and Love Me in Hell by Kuwabara Tamotsu

That is so awesome, some of their stuff on twitter should def be translated if the scans team is down for it.

Is the author a masochist? Does he get off on this? Not to get too psychological here, but the kind of person who draws themselves being tortured by their own fictional characters arouses feelings of worry within me....

I too, am concerned.

Crazy that whenever Saburouta tweets announcing a new citrus chapter, over 90% of the replies come from overseas fans. It's one of those manga that owns its popularity to their international audience more than the domestic audience. In Japan there are other yuri that sell more but internationally it's still the best selling yuri (I wonder if the green yuri manga will take its place eventually though, especially with the upcoming anime).

Green yuri is so winning, the anime is going to do numbers for the manga.

Here we go with more forced drama. Obviously she will say yes and 10am race her boss won't come back after a hour and she won't make it to the race.

The quality of the series really went down hill. I think ever since they switched publication or whatever it was and then started the sequel series.

Maybe the author doesn't know how to write a none high school story proper so just forces the drama to make a story. Or they have a editor that is pushing them to add drama.

I'm pretty sure the point here is just to explore the slice of life of being in a relationship, both the fluffy fluff and the little disagreements and fights and inconveniences.

Most people don't deal with "My partner is struggling with their gangster ex rolling back into town." they deal with stuff like missing an important event because something kind of understandable but also pretty avoidable came up.

YES. It's what slice of life is about, I love this genre for how normal it can be sometimes. And so far, this series is doing great, except for 1 small hiccup...

guys is this worth picking back up again? i stopped early in the sequel

It's so cozy and fluffy, I enjoy every second that I am reading. It's just one of those series where you read with a smile by how mundanely sweet it is. Though there is a drama arc that is a bit annoying and poorly written, the rest is awesome.

Is Volume 12 the last volume of the LN, or is there more coming after. The wiki says that the LN is completed.

“Don’t lose yourself, you don’t want to have another meltdown.”

Oh my goooooooood Adachi!!!! Stop being relatable in a way that makes me feel like I need therapy!!! These books hit me so hard years ago, having a visual aid now just hurts even more.

God I love her. She’s doing everything she can. I love her so much.

This comment reminds me, it was while reading those light novels some years ago that I related so much, first to Adachi and later to Shimamura, that I started investigating myself and ended up with my ASD diagnosis. I think the manga tones down Adachi's weirdness (and Shima's coldness) a lot tho, it's way fluflier.

How bad is it in the novels? It seems pretty bad already. '- -

^
Yeah, these formative moments of their relationship are both a delight and cringey at the same time.
Shima considers things from all angles, peeks around corners, slowly moves forward, and then takes a nap.
Adachi either stalls out or sprints ahead, tripping and banging herself up but just gets up, dusts herself off, and does it again.
Opposites certainly attract.

You explained them so well.
Thank you for the translation.

How far is the manga right now regarding LN adaptation (the raws)? I'm interested in buying the LNs.

It's doing an excellent job off following the LN volume for volume, so it's also at the start of volume 7 of the LN.

Thanks! And thank you for the translation!

Dorks...

Also, I used the upload as an excuse to check this manga on md, since some r/yurimemes and/or r/wholesomeyuri post(s) from a couple of months ago, that included an md link, made me aware that the Spanish, Korean and Thai scanlations are ahead of the English ones by a few chapters, so, despite not speaking or being able to understand any of the languages, I re-read all the chapters that are English, then browsed through the Spanish chapters, understanding only some of what was said, and then went to the two Korean chapters, where I understood nothing of what was said, and no spoilers, but between all those, I will say, I am excited for what this manga got in store for us in the upcoming months.

I'll take your word for it, can't wait!

Soooo is this dropped? What's the story here?
Most likely if it hasn't been updated over a year. Dynasty isn't good with updating status.

I have the raw too. It is ok. Definitely axed. I like the story with so much potential. I just love trashy characters. I wonder if the scanlators will ever finished 5, 6 and chapter 7?

Did it get axed at chapt 7, or is there more I can dig for?

Nice, an edgy series from Yuri Hime. These are quite rare...

They seem to die off pretty quickly.
I'm still salty about Scarlet.

FR, its easy to forget but everytime I remember its like a gut punch. T^T
Also, did this series get axed?

For those who aren't aware, Yuri Hime and Kashikaze put out a whole-ass volume of one-shots and bonus material for the series called "Flowers for Lonely Girl" / ロンリーガールに花束を on December 17th. Some of it's stuff we've already seen, like "marking", but some of it, like these two chapters is new. It's a pretty thick volume and I just got home from Japan with my copy, but I'm interested to see if there's anything else in there I haven't read already.

Thank you messenger!

I hope that "Zenbu Kowashite Jigoku de Aishite" gets uploaded here eventually, I love mental illness yuri

Yes! I think people here would like it. English name is "Destroy it all and love me in hell" for those who were wondering, you can read it on mangadex right now up to chapter 17.

Does anyone know the release schedule of the chapters? Is it every 2 months?

Sorry, just found out the english translation are just behind, its consistent with ComicYuriHime issue releases. Hope the team puts a chapter out next month.
