I really, really love the story but it feels like we get a bit too drama/misunderstanding heavy now. If it keeps going like that they will maybe hold hands when they finish school and we are left to imagine how their relationship develops...oh who am I kidding. She is going to move to America and we get a 5 year timeskip!

I don't believe that the conflict they had earlier can be justified other than the fact they are both teenagers and are still adopting. It's going to be interesting to see what happens to their relationship from now on. :D

I'm also going to take a shot and predict that this is leading up to them realising that things got awkward because they capital-L Like each other.

Although I try to stay out of the plot-prediction business*, I find it hard to believe that the story is going the “no prom at all” route after going to the trouble of setting it up. Maybe a “leave the producer’s party early and hit the prom together” twist.

Chapter 100: Koga invited her new admirers/kouhai to come hang out at the record store, which made Aya radically insecure about her “specialness” to Koga, and then Koga reacted to Aya’s confusion and general acting weird-ness.

Can't believe Narita busted his balls for nothing.

Going to take a guess that his work will still be worth it. I can't see the work put in by the author in the previous couple of chapters setting the scene being thrown out.

Mitsuki seems like she wants to go, and go with Aya so they could make a late entrance (let's assume what Aya said is not 100% true due to the previous chapter).

Also the Prom might be where we get a little side development between Narita and Mao, possibly? Maybe?

Nope (well, I didn’t at least), it was revealed to us that her dad was involved in the industry and was interested in meeting Koga in the chapter before that, so when freckles talked to Koga it was assumed that was what she was inviting her over for.

I’d like to see that twist happen, especially cuz Narita set up prom FOR THEM, but Aya isn’t going either (unless the family gathering stuff turns out to be a lie) and the prom is a great chance for Koga to socially network with important people from the industry

The only way I see Koga not going to the party with the music industry folks, is if she decides she doesn’t really like fame and would rather stay independent— but even then, there’s literally no downside to getting to meet with the people in the music industry

Is when things got rocky between them. I’m pretty sure the core issue is that Aya was avoiding Koga so ig she either assumed the kouhai was asking Koga to go to the prom with her and thus, gave up on her feelings? Or at least, trying to pursue anything with Koga

This imo supports the idea that Aya was avoiding Koga imo

They “made up” because Aya decided to just move on from her jealousy, insecurity, or whatever she was feeling, and meet at the CD shop. They weren’t even at odds, it was Aya who had an issue but she never talked about it

So, this’ll either become a habit between the two of them;

One of them isn’t feeling good > they stop talking, leaving the other feeling hurt and confused > they start talking again like nothing happened

Or, I’m thinking that if Aya gets upset in the same way again; “blows up” at Koga before avoiding her, only to start talking like nothing ever happened a while later, Koga might just get annoyed and either press Aya for answers or just ignore Aya, OR she’ll just get used to the lack of communication and nothing really bad will actually come from it

Either way, the lack of proper communication— especially when its in a situation where one of them is upset and it’s not directly the other’s fault— makes me worry about whatever future they could have together

I'm assuming Aya is lying or else I'm not sure where we're going. The Kouhai was always inviting her to a music thing. The prom is for 3rd years. She's not a 3rd year.

So that wasn't surprising at all. Aya's 180 is. So I'm assuming that she's "putting on a show" because she realized how good for Mistuki that party could be. The chapter seems to be hinting at that, with Mitsuki repeating the question and the final framing of Aya.

I was expecting something exactly like this, A meet&greet with her record co dad. But I was expecting Aya to misunderstand and think it was a prom invite and be super down about it.

I'm sure, at least, that Aya is lying about having a family thing. She's trying to minimize the prom because she knows it's a good opportunity for Koga, but she's heartbroken on the inside. Aya's gonna be miserable about it, and Koga's going to find out or otherwise pick up on that and there'll be some kind of grand gesture to make up for it.

So... no prom? :(

The problem is by now the audience likely cares about the prom. It would be odd to toss that aside for more music and for them to be separated on Christmas, after time was spent building it up.

I expect their to be a balance and for the prom to remain important. I'd be shocked if they don't somehow end up together on christmas. If they don't I'd have some serious side-eye for where the story's going. Plus Aya will likely feel excited for Koga but also sad about the situation too.

I think Koga might somehow leave early to go to the prom, it could work? It's checkov's gun now

Besides, I'm not going either.

RIP all of Narita's effort as the absolute BEST wingman. This is like jumping off of Yoshi and letting him fall into a death pit.
