Damn, nice. Ch14 could have been an amazing intro chapter to this series... I wonder, are these chapters new, or has the translation just lagged behind? If they are new, it'd seem to me like the author has improved a lot as a storyteller.

The series has been done for a long time, life has just been nuts. I'm hoping to be more consistent from now on.

i bet next chapter, she'll come up with some convoluted BS to not tell her... there'd be no reason for this cliffhanger otherwise. or they'll get interrupted, or she'll stop her from saying it. I'm kinda over this kind of "will they, won't they" trope to be frank.

I disagree, the cliffhanger is to make us believe she's not going to. And then we'll get the whole confession and afternath in the same chapter.
If anything, due to how previsible fake out are, nowadays they'd try to surprise by having the character say it at the end of a chapter only to come up with a justification why the 2nd character did not hear/misinterpreted or the 1st character to back pedal in the next chapter.
