Nobody mentioned it yet which is curious because I think it's an important point: after being dumped by Midori, the first thing BF-san did was grab his phone and call his (many) lovers to come to his side and comfort him by means of wild sex.
Too bad for him that the girl who was with him at the bar (when Kyouko snapped) has obviously spread the juicy gossip around; and all his cheating partners sensibly decided to stay clear from the awful break-up mess going on.
Two explanations.
Either those women who are his occasional sex partners are in it for the fun of it and don't have time for him when he's a sobbing mess and majorly unfun...
Or they saw him as a super macho alpha man who cheats as much as he wants without consequences—bcs his steady knows he's too manly for just one woman—and the breakup scene at the bar totally ruined that image forever.
I feel that Midori just grew complacent with being stuck for him, until it became too much and she realized that while she likes Ex-Boyfriend she just doesn't love him in a romantic sense anymore. They can be friends, yes, but she knows that he's not dating material.
In fact I get the feeling that Midori is just complacent in general about most things, maybe its her overall attitude, I don't know.
100%. She has no intentions of going out with him again and he accepts their not being together romantically. I think if anything this chapter was meant to show that he cherishes her as a loved one to protect and care for (no matter how shitty he is at that job) moreso than requiring her to be his romantic partner. He's fine if they're broken up but was upset that he'd never see her again as a friend. He was even fine envisioning her dating someone but was worried about the "future guy's" being an ass. The brother showed him (or reminded him) that there are other close relationships besides dating and that she is laid back and only doesn't want to date him ever again.
He'll stick around as a friendly (albeit messy) figure. If anything, I'd say this chapter did it's best to suggest that he won't be a serious relationship threat moving forward but also to make us wonder about their background. Something is odd there and why does he feel the need to protect her so badly? I guess it's possible that changes in the future but I don't see that sticking even if it happens. This chapter reaffirmed her decision to break up.
I hope Ex-BF sees he's a prick and tries to change for the better, you know? Maybe with the help of the other characters, cause... I'm sorry but I feel no sympathy for him as he is.
Wow, they imported a bonafide Korean pornhwa protagonist. "I love her so much, but I must sleep with many other girls so she is not tired of me. And so that I have a lot of experience when we do it."
This Author is just incapable of writing a good story, same with their other series, my sister's crush or whatever. Nonetheless the first volume is popular enough in Japan so what do I know :')
Damn thats a pretty harsh comment dont you think? I mean if you don't like the authors writing that's fair enough. I think the main charm of this authors stories for me is how there are flawed characters that have to slowly figure out their shit. Very entertaining but not for everyone. Also, was it really necessary to send this 6 times?
Holy smokes, thx for telling me, I just deleted the other comments XD
It's pretty amusing how many people read a chapter where every self-pitying justification given by the ex-BF is immediately countered by the brother pointing out how everything is 100% his fault and think that this was meant to be a "sympathetic backstory." The point of the chapter isn't "you should feel sorry for him," it's "he has severe character flaws but isn't pure evil."

Yeah, this is why. Even Midori said he's a fun guy to hang out with.
= _ =
ain’t nothing wrong with it tho… sapphic women can only be lesbians i guess?
but oh well, everyone has their tastes in fiction, just hope that’s not how you act towards real people. “3d yuri” might have a lot more bisexual than you can imagine, y’know
What dumb brother does he not realize his sister has the hots for Midori!?
Everyone at the bar can see it, so he definitely knows. As for why he did that, prolly some kind of ulterior motive, or author's step towards a BL side story or something. Still a big yikes for that brother, no hesitation at all in throwing his supposed dear beloved sister's game for an insufferable asshole.

he's not throwing her game though? it's obvious that Midori doesn't romantically love the guy (any more) but it's also obvious that they mutually care for each other, so he'll keep being a part of her life. And nothing bro said went anywhere near "you can get her back if you do better".
I realy don't know how to feel about this. The girl stays friend with their ex boyfriend who has cheated on her multiple times, the boyfriend portrayed as innocent that he has no choice but to cheat, especially in a yuri manga. Maybe it could bring a fresh new air to people but I can't bring myself to be comfortable on this

the boyfriend isn't portrayed as having no choice. he just gave his reasoning for his actions. would you prefer a character who only acts according to the plot and has no personality?
I think it's eminently reasonable that, if you're going to have some character development of the piece of crap cheating boyfriend, that he would have a rationalization for it. There are lots of people who cheat, and most of them don't want to consider themselves worthless wastes of space, so they'll have rationalizations. So that's just fine, very appropriate.
Except I'm really not interested in having character development for the piece of crap cheating boyfriend.
