I was half expecting soldier-xhan to be a skull too, died somewhere to a mine or something, so I was glad that the last chapter was on her perspective since I doubt a skull would have a perspective
This one is so... sincere. What a heartwarming ending. I thought that the way the panels were arranged when she put the flower crown on the skull was a super evocative way to show her coming to terms with reality.
This was fantastic. Beautifully written, well balanced and beautifully executed, and really hot when appropriate. I'm a huge, huge fan of the heartwarming ending. One of the all-time greats, far as I'm concerned.
Same here. After the twist in part 1, I spent the entirety of the conclusion mentally preparing myself to see a panel of one of them cradling an adult skull. I was so relieved at the end.
I just found this hilarious, but okay. Brother gets blown up by a mine and buried, girl easily digs out a perfect skull, and the entire townfolk goes "yeah sure, that's a thing now". Topnotch storytelling right there ^^
What a rollercoaster. I dunno what I would've done if I would've had to wait between parts 1 and 2 with the ending from 1, holy shit. Really really enjoyed this though.
